Henan Normal University, referred to as Henan Normal University for short, is a university jointly founded by the People's Government of Henan Province and the Ministry of Education. It ranks among the universities implemented by the national "11plan" and supported by the national plan for revitalizing higher education in the central and western regions. The school is located in Xinxiang City, Henan Province, and its motto is "Learn from morality and stop at perfection".
The school's predecessor was the Science Department of Zhongzhou University (formerly the predecessor of National Henan University) founded by 1923 and Pingyuan Normal University founded by 195 1. After the Second Hospital of Henan Normal University, Henan Second Normal University and Xinxiang Normal University, 1985 was called Henan Normal University.
