The history of human exploration of the universe
The world view that western scholars can get at first is geocentric theory. This is a very rigorous mathematical model, which was completed by Ptolemy. In this theoretical system, human (the earth) is the absolute center of the universe, which is also very consistent with the religious world view. Therefore, this theory has been circulated for 1000 years.
Later in the Renaissance, there was a man named Copernicus who thought Ptolemy's Heliocentrism was too complicated. So, Heliocentrism put it forward, but it didn't cause any waves at first, because people at that time were hard to understand.
