The discipline of information management and information system is an interdisciplinary subject which is produced and developed by the integration of management science, system science and information technology. It mainly studies the theories and methods of information management, decision-making science and technology, informatization and management innovation. The significance of this topic lies in:
(1) Better apply system science and information technology to management practice, and improve the standardization and scientific level of management;
(2) Promote the development of modern management theory through the research of management innovation under the condition of informationization.
