How to prepare for the actuary exam?
Actuaries are mainly engaged in product development, liability reserve accounting, dynamic solvency testing and other important work, so what are the subjects of actuarial examination? The following is what I need to prepare for the actuary exam, which is for your reference only. Welcome to read this article.

The actuarial examination subjects are divided into two stages: quasi-actuary and actuary. Among them, quasi-actuaries have eight subjects, namely: mathematics, financial mathematics, economics, actuarial model, actuarial management, life insurance actuaries, non-life insurance actuaries and accounting and finance. Candidates can obtain quasi-actuary qualification by passing all eight courses.

Actuaries have ten subjects, namely insurance law and related regulations, financial management of insurance companies, health insurance, investment, actuarial practice of personal life insurance and annuity, asset-liability management, employee benefit plan, actuarial practice of non-life insurance, pricing of non-life insurance and evaluation of non-life insurance liability reserve. Including compulsory courses and elective courses. Candidates who have obtained the qualification of quasi-actuary can obtain the qualification of actuary by passing the examinations of five actuarial courses and meeting the requirements of relevant actuarial professional training.

How to prepare for the actuary exam

First reading

For the candidates who apply for actuaries in China for the first time, when entering the textbook for the first time, they should first browse the outlines of each chapter in the textbook, have a general understanding of the structure of the textbook, and initially form a knowledge structure framework in their minds. Although it doesn't matter if they are unfamiliar with or don't understand some knowledge points, as long as they are clearly marked, they will conduct detailed key research when reviewing.

Second, strengthen training.

After a preliminary understanding of the textbook, candidates should further study the contents of the actuary's textbook to deepen their impression. If you don't understand anything, you need to consult the materials and consult your classmates and teachers to solve it. At the same time, after reading the textbook, you need to strengthen training combined with after-class exercises to further consolidate your knowledge. Preparing for actuaries is a long and boring process, which requires a strong will to win.

Third, be good at summarizing.

Through the previous understanding and research of textbooks and books, combined with the usual practice, candidates also need to learn to think more and summarize more, and combine the test sites of the test questions to summarize the key points in the exam outline, so as to focus on memory. Because actuaries have just started the exam, there is no particularly targeted counseling book for the time being, so candidates mainly review the official textbooks and thoroughly understand the knowledge points of the textbooks.

Fourth, the final sprint

In the final sprint stage before the exam, what candidates need to do is to continue reviewing what they have learned before and further deepen their impression of the details. From the test sites in the actuary's multiple-choice questions and judgment questions over the years, it can be seen that the test sites involved by actuaries will be relatively detailed, so everyone must not miss every point when reviewing.
