From "Retarded" to "Genius"
-Recording mentally retarded music conductor Zhou Zhou.
Zhou Zhou is a child with congenital mental retardation. Fate played a little joke on him. He was born in April of 1 year, which happened to be April Fool's Day. A normal person's IQ is at least 70, while Zhou Zhou's is only 30. In other words, Zhou Zhou's highest intelligence can only be equivalent to a child of four or five years old. But his father Hu Houpei didn't give up. He decided to cultivate his son's intelligence with his love and patience. He took great pains to teach his son to count, recognize numbers and know simple words. However, no matter how much brains and cards Hu Houpei uses, Zhou Zhou just can't learn. So far, he can't count from 1 to 10. Hu Houpei finally lost confidence in teaching his son knowledge. But one thing he insists on is that children should never be kept at home. He advocates that children should have more contact with society and communicate with it. In this way, children's intelligence will be improved in many ways, and their adaptability and viability will also be enhanced. He often takes his children to the streets, shopping, meeting friends, and often encourages them to go out to play. Although Zhou Zhou's IQ is not high, he is a very good boy. He often goes to the shops around to help others clean the table and sweep the floor, and throws others' unfinished things into the trash can. So everyone around knows someone and likes him very much.
Zhou Zhou's home is in the compound where some theatrical troupes gather. Zhou Zhou is familiar with almost all the training rooms, dressing rooms and rehearsal halls there. Father took him to work and put him in the corner of the rehearsal hall. At the beginning of the rehearsal, Zhou Zhou sat quietly, listening to the melody of the music. Where there is music, you can see Zhou Zhou. Music seems to be a pleasure to him. When the band was rehearsing, he got up quietly, picked up the baton and waved his short arms. When performing formally, Zhou Zhou always stands on the sidelines and conducts the band that seems to belong to him. After the performance, applause sounded, and Zhou Zhou was very happy, as if this was his success. Zhou Zhou grew up day by day, his passion for music increased day by day, and his desire for performance became stronger and stronger, resulting in a "command dream".
1999 is a major turning point in Zhou Zhou's life journey. China Disabled Art Troupe gave Zhou Zhou the opportunity to perform for the first time. Standing on the symphony podium and holding a baton, Zhou Zhou began his first performance in his life. A command dream that ordinary people dare not dream has come true, and his stage career has since begun. Zhou Zhou stepped onto the stage of China art and entered the world-famous art hall. Carnegie Hall and the National Theatre both left Zhou Zhou's name.
We can't doubt that there is a melody in Zhou Zhou's blood, and every heartbeat has a note beating. His life is a symphony. This is Zhou Zhou, an unfortunate and lucky Zhou Zhou.
