Compared with elementary mathematics, the objects and methods of mathematics are more complicated. Advanced mathematics is more advanced than elementary mathematics. Broadly speaking, all mathematics except elementary mathematics is advanced mathematics, and some call algebra, geometry and simple set theory in middle school as intermediate mathematics, which is the transition between elementary mathematics in junior high school and advanced mathematics in undergraduate stage. Generally speaking, advanced mathematics is composed of calculus, and it is a basic subject formed by algebra and geometry and their intersecting contents. The main contents include: limit, calculus, spatial analytic geometry and vector algebra, series and ordinary differential equations. Generally, calculus and series theory are given priority to, supplemented by other contents, and there are some differences in various teaching materials.
