The difference between the two:
GRE test consists of three parts: analytical writing, mathematics and Chinese. Mathematics and Chinese alternate. There are 20 questions in each part, and the examination time is 3 hours and 45 minutes. There are additional tests.
The GMAT exam consists of four parts: writing, comprehensive reasoning, mathematics and Chinese. Math 37 questions, Chinese 4 1 questions. There is no extra test, and the test time is 3 hours. Judging from the number of questions, GMAT questions are slightly less, and the examination plates appear in a fixed and single order, so there will be no alternate examination, which is better for candidates who are not suitable for thinking transformation.
Basic items:
GMAT is sponsored by GMAC, while GRE is sponsored by ETS. Different organizers mean different exam styles.
First of all, there are many GRE examination rooms, and many campuses have GRE examination rooms. Candidates can have many choices, so don't worry about the scarcity of exam places. There are fewer examination rooms in GMAT, and only some cities have examination rooms. Usually there is only one examination room in a city (there are two examination rooms in a few cities such as Shanghai). Due to the GMAT warehouse change problem, the number of examination places on the ideal day is more sought after.
Secondly, the interval between GRE and GMAT is 20 days, and GMAT is 3 1 day. From the interval, if candidates are short of time, want to take more exams, brush more or feel that they are inexperienced in the examination room, and want to exercise themselves through multiple exams, they can choose GRE.
School choice:
Different schools have different requirements for candidates. At present, although business schools accept GRE and GMAT, the higher the ranking, the more students like to apply with GMAT scores. The higher the GMAT score, the more qualified students are to study business. If students majoring in finance aim at the top 30 or even 10 schools, they will find that there are very few business schools to choose from. If they feel uncertain, it is recommended to apply for GRE, and they can apply for more schools and other majors.
Student conditions
If candidates are good at memorizing words, they won't take up too much time in word learning. GRE is recommended. Because GMAT does not require a high vocabulary, it requires a high level of other individual skills. The first condition of GRE is words, and the road to GRE is not so difficult after getting the words.
If the candidate is not good at math, if the candidate prefers liberal arts, it is recommended to choose GRE. GMAT's mathematics is much more difficult than GRE's, and its thinking is more circuitous, which requires more difficult mathematical knowledge. The GMAT of candidates with poor math is expected to be around 44. If such candidates take the GRE math test, it is expected to be at 163- 166, and GRE is more dominant in score evaluation.
If the candidates are not logical and feel that the logical questions are not clear, it is recommended to choose GRE. For GMAT, if a candidate's logic is not good, but his grammar and reading are super strong, he can still be saved, but if his logic is not good, grammar and reading are not absolute advantages. However, logic is not so fatal to GRE, and the proportion of logic topics in Chinese itself is very low. Unless it is above 328, the logic is not good, and other items can still be supplemented a lot.
