In the conversation with students, we learned that some students feel that the amount of homework is large, and the study of mathematics is an endless sea of tactics. These teaching models exchange grades by increasing the amount of homework, take doing homework as a means to punish students, ignore students' subjectivity and their physical and mental development, and gradually make students lose interest in mathematics learning.
Second, the evaluation method is single.
The traditional evaluation method is to measure everything with scores, emphasizing results and neglecting process. Praise and encouragement are often bonuses, and the general assembly praises them. This kind of praise makes the praised person extremely proud and can inspire him to make persistent efforts, but it involves fewer people and times, and its influence on students is not lasting. At the same time, it has also dealt a certain blow to those so-called "poor students".
Third, the external pressure is too great.
Parents have high expectations and teachers have high standards, which makes students overwhelmed. Every parent wants his children to be the first, and every student wants to be afraid that his students will become top students. Regardless of whether students have made progress on the original basis, it is inevitable that they will be punished if they do not do well in the exam anyway. For those "poor students", no matter how hard they try, they will always experience the sense of loss as losers. The low possibility of success reduces students' achievement motivation, and negative emotions appear, leading to students' learning burnout.
Fourth, teachers don't care enough about students' understanding.
As the saying goes, "Learn from your teacher and believe in it." However, in teaching, teachers hate iron for some students, and there are often satire, sarcasm, corporal punishment and corporal punishment in disguise. Over time, students will also have fear and boredom, and will inevitably have resistance to the courses they have studied.
Five, improper teaching methods:
In teaching, teachers attach importance to the learning of knowledge and skills, but ignore the attention to the learning process and methods. From classroom to extracurricular, engaging in the sea of questions is the same, endless tactics. Students have little time and space for independent thinking. Students learning knowledge is like swallowing dates, and they can't form a specific knowledge system network for knowledge.
Six, students' own reasons:
There are no kindergartens in many rural areas, and students enter the first grade directly from preschool one year later. The generation of knowledge is a gradual process, and children's understanding ability is gradually enhanced with age. However, many parents mistakenly believe that letting their children go to school early is beneficial to their development. Because of their young age, these children don't understand well, especially when solving application problems, they don't know how to analyze the meaning of the problem and how to solve it. They just learn by rote and imitate blindly.
According to the above reasons, we can try to take the following measures to change their mentality and make them change from being tired of learning mathematics to being willing to learn mathematics.
First, the work cloth is scientifically refined.
Teachers should carefully design homework, avoid mechanically asking students to repeat exercises, liberate them from the tactics of asking questions about the sea, and give them some time and space for independent thinking. I believe they will do better.
Second, the evaluation methods should be diversified.
Don't stare at the report card. If you look closely, you will find that every child has a unique bright spot. Teachers should learn to seize these bright spots in time, give affirmation and praise in time, let them gradually build up their self-confidence and help them gradually turn these self-confidence into learning.
Third, affirm the progress of students in time.
Everyone wants to be the first, but there is always only one first. It is an improvement that a poor student surpasses a better student. If he is still one place behind, but from 20 to 30 and then to 40, is it an improvement to surpass himself again and again? Is it worthy of our affirmation?
Fourth, influence students with love.
Love can knock on any heavy door in the world, even students. Try to replace frown with smile, stick with love and condemnation with understanding. Take a look. Are your students still afraid of teachers and tired of learning?
Fifth, change the teaching methods.
Study the teaching materials carefully before class, prepare lessons carefully, and use the simplest method to let students master what they have learned in the least time, improve classroom efficiency and reduce intensive tutoring after class.
Sixth, ensure that new students enter school.
Schools should do a good job of parents' propaganda, and don't rush to let children enter school too early. "Haste makes waste", and anything that goes against objective laws will not have a good ending.
