Brief introduction of Lucas professor of mathematics
Lucas Mathematics Lecture is introduced as follows:

1. Professor Lucas is an honorary position in Cambridge University, England. Awarded to researchers related to mathematics and physics, and only one person at a time. Newton, Hawking and Dirac all served as this chair.

The owner of this chair is called "Professor Lucasian". The current position is held by michael kay, a British physicist.

2. Background: Lucas Chair in mathematics was founded according to henry lucas's will. He served as a member of Parliament elected by the constituency of Cambridge University from 1639 to 1640, and had a deep relationship with Cambridge University.

Therefore, his will not only donated 7,000 pounds to build nursing homes and hospitals, but also donated more than 4,000 volumes of his books to Cambridge University Library, and established Lucas Professor of Mathematics, with an annual subsidy of 100 pounds.

Lucas Chair in Mathematics was established in February of 1663. 1664/kloc-0 was formally established with the approval of King charles ii.
