1after the school started on September 26th, 949, the school was a three-thirds system, with 9 classes in senior high school and 2 1 class in junior high school. At this time, high schools are full of girls, and junior high schools are full of boys and girls. The school has students 1525, girls 1250, boys 275 and 94 faculty members.
After liberation, Qingdao No.2 Middle School set the old site of Laoshan Middle School on Daxue Road as a branch school, and some junior high school classes and boys' dormitories were arranged here. Since then, the school building of No.2 Middle School has expanded, and there are two campuses, our college and the branch school. In addition, there are five staff dormitories in Changzhou Road.
1953 After Chairman Mao's instructions on running a number of key schools were issued, Qingdao No.2 Middle School was designated as a key middle school in Shandong Province.
1960, the municipal government transformed the No.2 Middle School of Daxue Road into the People's Hall, and then handed over the warehouse of No.4 Water Supply Company of Taiping Road to No.2 Middle School.
1974, part of the campus building was demolished and converted into a teaching building with 36 classrooms.
1979 demolished the original small bungalow in the inner courtyard of the school and built a three-story experimental building with physics, chemistry and biology laboratories for students' experimental classes, as well as a language lab and a projection room.
1980 Qingdao No.2 Middle School was re-designated as a key middle school in Shandong Province, and 198 1 was designated as the first batch of key middle schools to be run well.
1997, the new campus located at No.70 Songling Road, Laoshan District started construction, which was listed as one of the ten major events to be done by Qingdao Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government in that year.
1999, the new campus of Laoshan District was completed, covering an area of 264 mu. Qingdao No.2 Middle School moved to the new campus and became a boarding school. The middle school stayed at the original site of Taiping Road and was renamed Qingdao Yucai Middle School. Since then, Qingdao No.2 Middle School has only high schools.
