What is the essential difference between Buddhism and science?
Regarding Buddhism and science, there have been several poisonous streams in recent years, namely, misinterpreting Buddhism with science, interpreting science with Buddhism, and advocating mutual proof between Buddhism and science. In my opinion, these are all ignorance of Buddhism and science.

In the final analysis, the perfection of Buddhism lies in the secular law of breaking troubles, leaving reincarnation and even completing Buddha's fruit, as well as the secular good law of courtesy, loyalty and filial piety. Science is the materialistic theory of the world. Based on a series of assumptions, it emphasizes the "verification" of senses and instruments. Through the induction and approximation of experimental results, a series of mechanical formulas are obtained. Although it can be applied as a technology, it is absolutely impossible to regard it as an impeccable idea.

Therefore, science cannot be compared with Buddhism, nor can it even be regarded as a good law in the world. In those years, there were countless fallacies derived from rigid and one-sided scientific experiments, such as "masturbation is harmless" and "vegetarianism is harmful". Science can't make all beings get rid of troubles and realize liberation like Buddhism, nor can it educate people to know cause and effect and turn to goodness like Buddhism. On the contrary, it often rejects the truth of karma in Buddhism.

In recent years, some people have tried to interpret Buddhism in scientific terms, which is obviously blaspheming Buddhism and advocating science. There are also some so-called Buddhists who flatter others and regard the example of scientists "believing in Buddhism" as a great honor. Although they are called Buddhists, they always pray for scientific certification. This is not to understand science, let alone Buddhism. I didn't know that wisdom in the world was a big problem for Buddhist practice. Few ancient scholars believed in Buddhism, but many of them stole classic Chinese vocabulary to show off their talents. By the same token, those scientists advocated by the media and those "authenticators" praised by "Buddhists" often just want to use the misinterpretation of Buddhism as an excuse to whitewash rhetoric, brush traffic and mix face. Pity those who don't understand Buddhism and science, but take it as beauty.

Buddhism can never be interpreted by science, and science and Buddhism can never be confused. Even Confucianism and Taoism (those who practice themselves through alchemy are heretics, stealing the name of Taoism and practicing heresy), their righteousness is only the good law in the world in Buddhism, which is beyond the reach of reincarnation. Therefore, please don't succumb to superstitious science and blindly follow the shadow of science. People who practice according to Buddhism should not be poisoned by misinterpreting Buddhism and not understanding the poisonous flow of science.
