It's actually quite simple. Change cell to markdown, and then you can write LaTeX formula in the middle of two-dollar symbol or four-dollar symbol.

After writing, shift+enter runs to display the formula, and double-click the formula to return to the editing state.

The formulas at the beginning and end of a single dollar symbol are only smaller in font size, and there is no difference in others.
