The difference between performance evaluation and qualitative evaluation
Quantitative evaluation method is an evaluation method which tests students by compiling test questions and scales according to the goal of mathematics education, and quantitatively analyzes the test results according to certain standards. Testing is a quantitative evaluation method.

Restrictive performance evaluation has very clear requirements for the tasks and objectives of evaluation, and it also limits the actions of the assessed. For example, the traditional closed-book exam is actually a typical restrictive performance evaluation.

Open performance evaluation is an evaluation method that does not limit the materials, methods and results of the person being evaluated. For example, letting students give a speech on the theme of "War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression" is an open performance evaluation.

Performance evaluation refers to the evaluation method to evaluate students' oral expression ability, written expression ability, thinking ability, creative ability and practical ability through more realistic performances such as actions, performances, demonstrations, operations and writing other than objective tests.

Performance evaluation can be divided into two types, one is restrictive performance evaluation, and the other is open (or extended) performance evaluation.
