1, prepare a piece of red paper, preferably double-sided red (Bian Xiao specially found a single-sided red paper to demonstrate the folding effect), about 20 cm square.

2. Fold the red paper diagonally once, and be careful to flatten it. Because this paper-cut should be folded in multiple layers, each layer should be as strong as possible.

3. Fold the folded paper in half along the center line so that two 45-degree angles overlap.

4. Fold the folded paper twice along the center line and continue to overlap the two 45-degree angles.

5. Folding in half again is different from the last two times. This time, one of the 45-degree angles (note that it is the side that is connected together, not the side that has scattered several pages) is folded in half. This time, the other side did not form an alliance.

6. Draw a pattern on the short side, as shown in the figure. The shaded part is drawn here for convenience, as long as you can see the effect in actual operation, and you don't need to draw heavy shadows.

7. Cut off all shadow parts with scissors along the underlined part. Pay attention to cut slowly, it will be easy to cut if you are not careful. Also pay attention to the use of sharp scissors, because the paper is 16 layer folded and relatively thick.

8. After cutting, spread out all the red paper. In this way, a beautiful paper-cut work-window cut was cut successfully.

Precautions for cutting window grilles:

1. The tracery should be smaller than the pane. If it is large, the pattern just fills the interior of the pane, giving people the feeling that it is airtight. If the tracery is smaller than the pane, it will give people a light feeling when pasting.

2. The composition of the window grilles should be coordinated with the panes. If the pane is square, it is not appropriate to use paper-cut that is too long and too thin. This does not mean that the shape of the tracery should be the same as that of the pane. Of course you can. If it is exactly the same, it will be boring.
