1993, the State Education Commission approved the Institute of Mathematics as the national training base for basic scientific research and teaching talents. Its predecessor was a mathematics pilot class initiated by Mr. Chen Shengshen and approved by the State 1986. This base won the first prize of 200 1 National Teaching Achievement for its "Practice of Cultivating Basic Mathematics Talents" and the "National May 1st Labor Award" in 2002. In 2007, the "Mathematical Culture Research Group" was awarded the "National May 1st Labor Award". The college has three undergraduate majors: mathematics and applied mathematics, information and computational mathematics, and statistics.
