The Professional Discipline Direction of Mathematics College of Nankai University
The college has three national key disciplines: basic mathematics, probability theory and mathematical statistics, and applied mathematics. In 2007, mathematics was a first-class national key discipline. Has the right to award doctoral degrees in mathematics and statistics, and has a postdoctoral mobile station in mathematics. The college recruits and trains five two disciplines and statistics first-class graduate students, namely, basic mathematics, computational mathematics, probability theory and mathematical statistics, applied mathematics and bioinformatics.

1993, the State Education Commission approved the Institute of Mathematics as the national training base for basic scientific research and teaching talents. Its predecessor was a mathematics pilot class initiated by Mr. Chen Shengshen and approved by the State 1986. This base won the first prize of 200 1 National Teaching Achievement for its "Practice of Cultivating Basic Mathematics Talents" and the "National May 1st Labor Award" in 2002. In 2007, the "Mathematical Culture Research Group" was awarded the "National May 1st Labor Award". The college has three undergraduate majors: mathematics and applied mathematics, information and computational mathematics, and statistics.
