Dulahan in Sleepy Valley is usually described as riding a perfect pure black stallion, with a black body flowing like the darkness and death of liquid. He was wearing a black robe that fluttered like smoke.
He buried his head under his arm with a sadistic smile like death on his face. The eyes staring at the decapitated head kept moving, looking for prey in the Irish countryside, and Dalahan appeared in the darkest night of the year. Legend has it that he carried a whip made of human spine and some things related to death, such as candles in his skull and a carriage made of human bones and carrion. He held his head high and looked at the land of Ireland, challenging the darkest night with supernatural sights.
Unlike banshees, Durham warned of death. He was not warned that he was an evil messenger of death and a collector of souls. He walks so fast on the road that the sound of hooves will set the hedge on fire.
The victim died where Durham's car was parked. He will call out the name of the person he is looking for and make no secret of his impending death. As soon as the name was called, the man died.
Dullahan can go through all the doors and all kinds of locks, and when he approaches, they will open. If you happen to see Durham, be careful. They don't like being watched when they are on a deadly mission. If anyone dares to do this, throw a bucket of human blood at him. The only weapon against the evil Durham is gold. They are afraid of gold, even the smallest amount.
People think that Dullahan may be the expression of Crom Dubh, the Celtic God, or a man who suffered the fate of human sacrifice in his name. He is the Celtic god of fertility. He was chosen by the ancient Irish king Tegmas. He offered sacrifices to krom Dube every year, and the sacrifice he chose was beheading. In the sixth century, with the arrival of Christianity, the worship of ancient gods stopped. At the bottom of the picture on the left is krom Bo Du.
