Generally, a university will learn a computer language in the first two semesters, such as C, C++ and VB. Some universities will also have a basic knowledge of computer in the first semester, mainly about the use of office software, and then learn the language. Moreover, some schools also require learning database courses, such as ACCESS, SQL language and some statistics courses. For example, we have a course called environmental mathematical model, which uses a statistical software SAS, and similar statistical software includes SPSS and MATLAB.
Our major in environmental science involves computer courses:
The first semester: object-oriented programming, using VC++; +;
The second semester: object-oriented programming, using VC++; +;
The fourth semester: database and software foundation, using VB and ACCESS;;
The fifth semester: environmental mathematical model, using SAS software.
Besides studying, you can join a club, make some posters, make some videos and so on. Dormitory buddies get together to play games and so on. They can't always go to Internet cafes, so they need it.
Some schools don't allow students to bring computers in the first year. In that case, listen to the school and often go to the school computer room several times!
