Several methods to improve students' computing ability in primary school mathematics
Computational ability is a basic mathematical ability, and it is an important task to cultivate primary school students with certain computational ability. Computing is a complex intellectual activity, and computing ability is also a concrete embodiment of comprehensive ability. The cultivation of computing ability is not only closely related to the basic knowledge of mathematics, but also affects and promotes students' thinking and non-intelligence factors. The calculation ability of primary school students is the basic ability to learn mathematics, explore mathematics and think. When correcting homework at ordinary times, it is often found that many students have a high calculation error rate. The high calculation error rate is also an important factor affecting the improvement of students' math scores. There are three reasons for the analysis: first, poor basic knowledge, failure to understand basic operation steps and methods, and ignorance of arithmetic; Second, when the number of people is small, the idea of "underestimating the enemy" arises; Third, when there are a large number of people, the calculation is complicated, the patience is lacking, and boredom is generated. Some students have an incorrect attitude in calculation: their handwriting is scrawled, their writing is not standardized, and they don't do the questions as required, so mistakes are inevitable in calculation.

How can we overcome the above factors that affect students' correct calculation? According to my own teaching practice, I think we can improve students' computing ability from the following aspects;

First, cultivate students' interest in learning, which is the key to improve computing ability.

Interest is the best teacher. In calculation teaching, we should first stimulate students' interest in calculation, make them willing to learn and do, teach students to use oral calculation, written calculation and calculation tools to calculate, master certain calculation methods, and achieve the purpose of accurate and fast calculation. Pay attention to the training form and stimulate the interest in calculation. In order to improve students' interest in calculation and make teaching entertaining, students can practice some oral calculations every day in combination with daily teaching content. While emphasizing calculation, pay attention to the diversification of training forms. Such as: training through games and competitions. Look and listen with cards and small blackboards; Time-limited oral calculation, self-compiled calculation problems, etc. Various forms of training can not only improve students' interest in computing, but also help students develop good computing habits. Monotonous mechanical calculation can easily make people tired and distracted. Teachers can work hard in the form of exercises, do multiple-choice questions and judgment questions, and also do some exercises related to real life to stimulate students' interest in calculation. Senior pupils have learned a lot of operation rules and properties. If students can skillfully use it, they can not only stimulate their interest in computing, but also improve their computing ability.

Second, pay attention to cultivating students' good computing habits.

First of all, we should carefully examine the questions.

In teaching, we should cultivate students' ability to carefully examine questions and see every data and operation symbol in the questions clearly. In teaching, I guide students to walk in three steps: first, we should carefully check numbers and symbols and observe their characteristics and internal relations; Second, we must carefully examine the order of operation and make clear what counts first and what counts later; Third, we should examine whether the calculation method is reasonable and simple, and analyze the characteristics of operation and data. According to the nature and law of operation, it is judged whether it can be simplified.

Second, concentrate on the school team.

When copying calculation questions, you must check the team in time and do a lot of work. Imagine, if all the questions are copied wrong, how can the result be correct? But in calculation, it is very common for students to copy wrong numbers or symbols. Therefore, I set strict requirements for students to copy questions, and formulated corresponding reward and punishment measures. If the homework is excellent five times in a row, you can get a five-pointed star. If it is more than five times, you can praise it in class and call on the whole class to learn from him. If there are two or more calculation errors in any assignment, ten calculation problems will be fined.

Third, check carefully.

Some students think that inspection is dispensable, while others think that inspection is troublesome. Checking calculation can not only ensure the correctness of calculation, but also cultivate students' meticulous learning attitude.

Fourth, timely revision.

Errors in homework, if * * *, can be corrected collectively; If it is individual, let the students correct themselves and carefully analyze the causes of the mistakes to avoid similar mistakes in the future. I also ask students to set up a wrong book, record the wrong questions in time, and review them frequently to prevent similar mistakes from happening again.

Fifth, writing norms.

Every homework and exercise, I ask students to write neatly and in a standardized format. The writing of numbers, decimal points and operation symbols in the topic must be standardized and clear. The spacing between numbers should be appropriate, the vertical arrangement of drafts should be clear, and the numbers should be aligned. At the same time, we should strengthen the guidance of writing format. Standardized writing format can express students' calculation ideas, methods and steps, and prevent writing mistakes, minority and operation symbols.

Third, pay attention to oral arithmetic training.

Oral arithmetic is very helpful to train students' attention, quick thinking and improve their computing ability. At the same time, verbal calculation is the basis of written calculation. Only by improving oral calculation ability can the speed and accuracy of written calculation be improved. So I often give students strict oral arithmetic training, including visual arithmetic training, listening arithmetic training, answering questions training, oral arithmetic games and so on. , and strive to reach a fast and correct level.

Fourth, emphasize written calculation.

Written calculation is customarily called vertical calculation, which is a method of calculating with a pen on paper according to certain calculation rules. Written calculation is not limited by numbers, and the calculation process must be written step by step. Written calculation helps students to understand arithmetic, and it is also convenient to find and check errors in the calculation process. Written calculation can also cultivate students' serious and responsible learning attitude. Because the steps of written calculation are programmed and the process of written calculation is relatively fixed, it is important to let students understand the calculation principle in teaching.

Fifth, strengthen the awareness of estimation.

"Mathematics Curriculum Standard" points out that estimation should be strengthened at every learning stage. Estimation is a kind of ability to approximate or roughly estimate the operation process and calculation results. Not only in mathematics learning, but also in daily production and life, it is necessary to test whether the answer is reasonable through estimation. Therefore, estimation has important practical value.

1. Estimation teaching focuses on cultivating students' estimation consciousness. It is necessary to infiltrate estimation teaching into normal teaching, preliminarily verify whether the calculation results are reasonable with estimation, and correct them in time to improve the accuracy of calculation. In teaching, students should accumulate experience in estimation and realize the value of estimation.

2. Teachers should attach importance to teaching students the methods of estimation and allow the diversification of estimation methods. If the estimated value is 78×22, the following estimated values are reasonable; 78×22≈80×22= 1760(2)78×22≈78×20= 1560(3)78×22≈80×20= 1600

In short, the improvement of students' computing ability is by no means a one-off event, it is a long-term training and accumulation process. This requires our teachers to be conscientious in teaching. As long as they study hard, constantly sum up and improve their work, and seriously explore the ability factors in calculation problems, students' computing ability will certainly be improved.
