Expansion: China Pharmaceutical University was founded in 1936, formerly known as National Pharmaceutical College (four-year undergraduate program), and it is the first pharmaceutical college founded by the state in China. 1937 moved back to Hankou, 1938 moved back to Chongqing and 1946 moved back to Nanjing. 1950 was renamed East China Pharmaceutical College.
1952 The Department of Pharmacy of cheeloo university merged with the Department of Pharmacy of Soochow University, and East China College of Pharmacy was established. 1953 pharmacy major of central south health college was merged into the school. 1956 was renamed Nanjing Pharmaceutical College. 1986 merged with Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine to form China Pharmaceutical University.
