Draw roughly the images of two functions first, and then judge the position of the intersection:

As shown in the figure, we can probably find four intersections (why four? Here we can substitute x=-0.5 and 2.5 into two functions, and make sure that there are four intersections), and then observe that these four points are symmetrical about (1, 0) (it is not difficult to understand, because both functions are symmetrical about this point), so that we can find the answer without finding every intersection.
