On March 20 18, I came to Zhuoni, Gannan Prefecture, Gansu Province and worked as a primary school math teacher in a Tibetan primary school. Although it is only one year, I have strengthened my confidence and will contribute to the teaching area. Although we have been together for a short time, we have to say that the students here have a poor mathematical foundation, most of them are students with learning difficulties, and they are also accompanied by various problems.
First, the causes of students with learning difficulties
(A) poor family education in Tibetan areas
Family education is very important for children's growth. Looking forward to the success of children is the wish of all parents in the world. For children in Tibetan areas, family education has a great influence on their healthy growth. First, parents' educational level is low. Some parents have only received one or two years of school education, and some even have never been to school, are illiterate and don't know how to educate their children to learn. Parents can't guide their children when they encounter homework problems. Second, some parents turn a blind eye to everything after sending their children to school and put the blame on the school. I think learning should be the responsibility of the school, and it has nothing to do with parents. Third, some parents simply don't realize that knowledge can change their destiny, and even have the negative idea that reading is useless, thinking that children are just wasting their hard-earned money. Fourth, every move of parents will affect their children's life. Some parents in Tibetan areas usually do not pay attention to their words and deeds and often fight, which does not play a good guiding role for their children. Children can't grow up normally in a bad environment. Parents without scientific education methods and low quality are not good for their children's physical and mental health. Learning is even more difficult.
(B) Tibetan cultural atmosphere is weak
Because most of the ancestors and fathers in Tibetan areas have not received a good systematic education, they can't guide their children well. Some parents are not shy about their students, and even get together during the slack season, which hinders their education.
(3) The families in Tibetan areas have financial difficulties.
In the vast Tibetan areas, farmers have not yet got rid of poverty, and many parents go out to work, which leads their children to do farm work while going to school. Some students go to work without even finishing primary school. Some students have been admitted to the university, but faced with high tuition and accommodation fees, there is nothing they can do at home. Although the state has a policy of assistance to these students, the scope of assistance is narrow, and some poor students have not received timely and effective assistance. Thereby neglecting studies.
Second, the transformation methods of primary school students with learning difficulties in mathematics
(1) Change the weariness of learning and cultivate good study habits.
Every family has its own problems, and each family's situation is different. Every student has different reasons for being tired of learning. Some families are very poor and don't have enough money for their students to go to school. Even when children just started school, there was the idea of "letting children know how to read, not letting someone who didn't even know how to read, so that they wouldn't know that they were cheated because they didn't know how to read", and this idea was intentionally or unintentionally imposed on children, so children no longer wholeheartedly, just perfunctory. At the same time, parents in mountainous areas think that students' learning is a matter of the school, and the quality of students' learning is all a matter of the school and teachers. Students can't help them to continue their studies when they go home. Gradually, students will get tired of learning. No matter how clever people are, they will fall behind if they don't study, not to mention mountain students with weak foundation. Therefore, students should be made aware of the importance of learning. Knowing that knowledge changes fate, you can't broaden your horizons, create wealth better, and the next generation won't have a good education without learning. Only by jumping out of this cycle can there be hope.
(B) to supplement the knowledge of mathematics, to fill the gaps in the past.
Because of the different learning progress, students' ability to accept knowledge is also different. First of all, it mainly helps students to build confidence in learning mathematics and prepare for learning mathematics well. If students are not interested in mathematics and do not really study hard, then this confidence will not last long, and it is likely to cause greater frustration and inferiority in the future. Therefore, after helping students build up their self-confidence in learning mathematics, it is more important to create conditions for students with learning difficulties to really learn and master the mathematics knowledge required by textbooks, so that they feel that they are good at mathematics. In teaching, I choose to take students to learn the knowledge of the new textbook by appropriate methods, and at the same time take students to review the previous related knowledge. For students with too great a difference, they should be counseled separately to keep up with the learning progress as soon as possible.
1, due to the poor foundation of students, a lot of knowledge was forgotten without a firm grasp. In teaching, the original content of textbooks is restored as the starting point of students. Starting from the starting point, let students recall and master the knowledge they lacked before, and then introduce it into normal teaching. Let students review and deepen their knowledge memory, but also reduce the difficulty of teaching, so that students do not give up at the starting line.
2, considering the actual situation of students, students should learn to summarize, so that students can master a certain degree of organization and regularity. Only by constantly summing up can there be innovation and development. Simply put, it can be summarized as self-review after class. Review can consolidate learning achievements, cultivate good study habits and improve learning efficiency, thus improving academic performance and mastering learning content more solidly. Moreover, reviewing the old knowledge can deepen the memory of the original knowledge, practice makes perfect, and then achieve mastery; At the same time, review can increase memory ability. gain two ends at once
(3) Open up the concept to make parents aware of the role of learning in their children.
After all, students have limited time at school and more time at home. Moreover, students have a closer relationship with their parents than teachers. Although the parents' knowledge level is not high, the mood of "expecting children to succeed and women to succeed" remains unchanged. It's just that parents are limited by poverty in real life and think that these are impossible to achieve, so they don't have much hope. Get through the parents' ideas, so that students can no longer be shrouded in negative emotions at home, and can devote themselves to their studies with a relaxed attitude, thus establishing a solid backing for their studies. With the support of parents, students are more cheerful, more confident in their studies, and work harder in their studies, so as to get rid of the ranks of students with learning difficulties and improve their academic performance rapidly.
