The School of Mathematical Sciences of Qufu Normal University was founded in 1955, which was one of the earliest departments in Qufu. The college has a strong faculty, remarkable achievements in discipline construction, outstanding achievements in personnel training and fruitful achievements in scientific research, and enjoys a good reputation and influence at home and abroad, forming a complete "undergraduate-master-doctoral-postdoctoral" talent training system. There are two undergraduate majors: mathematics and applied mathematics, and information and computing science.

There is a master's degree authorization point in mathematics. In the third round of national discipline evaluation in 20 12, mathematics ranked 28th in China, and was rated as the first-class discipline in Shandong province in 20 16. Mathematics and applied mathematics were selected as the first batch of national first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites on 20 19.
