Difference between load flow and power flow
The difference between load flow and power flow lies in the object and method of calculation. According to the query information, load flow mainly refers to the power flow calculation in the power system, and its main purpose is to calculate the voltage, phase angle, current and other parameters of each node in the power system, so as to determine the power balance relationship of each node and determine whether the rated capacity and parameters of the equipment in the system meet the requirements. The object of power flow calculation is mainly the nodes in power system, and the calculation method generally adopts iterative method. Through a series of iterative calculations, the parameters such as node voltage, phase angle and current of each branch of the system are obtained, so as to determine the power balance relationship of each node in the power system. Power flow is the further development of load flow, which mainly refers to the comprehensive calculation of power flow and steady state in power system, including the parameters such as voltage, phase angle and current calculated in load flow, as well as more comprehensive parameters such as power factor, reactive power, active power and voltage regulation in the system. The object of power flow calculation includes the whole power system, and the calculation method generally adopts numerical solution. By establishing the mathematical model of power system and solving it by computer, more comprehensive and accurate system parameters can be obtained, thus better guiding the operation and planning of power system.
