Commonly used units to express gas pressure are Pascal, millimeter mercury (mmHg), centimeter mercury (cmHg) and standard atmospheric pressure, and their symbols are Pa, mmhg, cmhg and atm respectively.
Pascal did a series of experiments to study the law of liquid pressure. Pascal noticed some life phenomena, such as the flat hose without irrigation. The hose is connected to the faucet, filled with water, and becomes cylindrical. If there are several eyes on the hose, water will be sprayed from the small eyes in all directions.
Water flows forward, why can the hose be round? Pascal designed the experiment of "Pascal Ball" through observation. Pascal's ball is a hollow ball with many holes in its wall. A cylinder is connected to the ball, and there is a movable piston in the cylinder. When water is poured into the ball and cylinder, the piston is pressed inward, and water is ejected from each small hole, which becomes a "porous water gun".
