achievements in scientific research

Xu Zongben is mainly engaged in intelligent information processing, machine learning and data modeling. The L( 1/2) regularization theory of sparse information processing is proposed, which provides an important basis for sparse microwave imaging. Discover and prove the "Xu-Roach" theorem of machine learning, solve some difficult problems in neural network and simulated evolutionary computation, and provide universal quantitative derivation criteria for machine learning and nonlinear analysis under non-European framework; This paper puts forward a new principle and method of data modeling based on visual cognition, and forms a series of core algorithms of data mining, such as cluster analysis, discriminant analysis and hidden variable analysis, which are widely used in science and engineering fields.

Xu Zongben has been engaged in the teaching and research of mathematical basis and intelligent information processing of Banach space geometry theory for a long time. Up to 20 17, Xu Zongben has published academic papers 172 in China Science, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computing, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, and Journal of International Association of Neural Networks: Neural Networks. In China, there are 4 articles in China Science and 9 articles in Journal of Mathematics/KLOC-0; Among the published papers, 126 was cited by SCI papers 785 times (he cited 642 times), with an average of 7.86 times per paper.

Xu Zongben's main academic contributions include: upgrading data modeling from "auxiliary drawing" to "cognitive simulation", systematically proposing new principles and methods of data modeling based on visual cognition, discovering a new tool of "binomial-like formula" data modeling in non-European framework (Xu-Roach theorem), laying an analytical foundation for the regularization method of machine learning, and proposing L 1/2 regularization theory of compressed sensing to solve problems.

Scientific research award

The research achievement "Research on Basic Theory of Data Modeling Based on Cognitive and Non-European Framework" won the second prize of National Natural Science (2007).

In 2008, he won the second CSIAM Su Application Award;

20 17 won the important contribution award of basic research in Shaanxi province;

20 18 won the Chen Jiageng Information Technology Science Award.

project

In his view, the team is an interdependent and responsible group. A team leader must first realize the value of "complementarity, coordination and supervision" of the team. As a leader of a team, he always pays attention to the development of everyone in the team. "There are wolves on the mountain. If you don't go up the mountain to cut wood, you can't cut wood, and your life is in danger. Director, must unite ",Xu Zongben metaphor. He believes that leading a team must have the same goal, unite people with the cause, and let every member of the team understand the value and significance of his career.

199 1 was awarded the title of "China Doctoral Degree Winner with Outstanding Contributions" jointly by the State Education Commission and the State Council Academic Degrees Committee.

20 1 1 was elected as an academician of China Academy of Sciences.
