Fold the paper into a triangle
Fold the paper pair into a triangle. If the paper is rectangular, first fold it into a square, and then cut off the extra parts to form a triangle with a 90-degree angle and two 45-degree angles.
Observation triangle
Hold the triangle in front of your eyes at right angles to yourself, with one short side horizontal and the other vertical. Look up at the vertex along the long side. The longest side is the hypotenuse.
Find the tree top
Step back until you can see the top of the tree, which is equivalent to the vertex of the triangle. Close one eye and look at the vertex along the hypotenuse with the other eye.
measure a distance
Measuring the distance from the standing point to the root of the tree is basically equal to the height of the tree. Don't forget to add your height!
Principle analysis
This simple method uses the principle that the tangent of 45 is 1, and the formula is: the height of the tree, the distance from the tree to you = 1, and both sides are multiplied by the distance from the tree to you, so that the height of the tree = the distance from the tree to you.
