Chen Jingrun is a famous mathematician in China, who has made outstanding contributions to the mathematical research in China and even the world. Although his son Chen Youwei did not choose the same major as his father at first-mathematics, in later study and research, Chen Youwei successfully obtained a master's degree in mathematics after switching to mathematics, which makes people sigh that like father, like son.

Chen Jingrun's obsession with mathematics began at an early age. When I was in high school, Xiamen University admitted the Mathematics Department of our school in advance because of Chen Jingrun's talent and ability in mathematics. The most enviable thing is the perfect combination of a person's talent and interest, and Chen Jingrun is a person with extraordinary talent and interest in mathematical research, so he can persist in mathematical research for so long and get such a high honor.

During his study in Xiamen University, Chen Jingrun knew all about the advanced mathematics of undergraduate study, and his mathematics performance was excellent. Later, he also entered Xiamen University. It was during this period that Chen Jingrun made full use of the convenient conditions in Xiamen University to study mathematics. However, after graduation, although Chen Jingrun was assigned to teach in Beijing No.4 Middle School, he was suspended because of slurred speech and returned to his hometown for illness.

However, due to his talent in mathematics, Xiamen University transferred him back to the library. At this time, he devoted himself to the study of number theory, and was later discovered by the president of Xiamen University and worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Mathematics. 1956 published "the problem in the tower", which made him enter the top mathematics circle. Due to China's concern, Chen Jingrun was transferred to the Institute of Mathematics of China Academy of Sciences as a research intern. In the years of mathematical research, Chen Jingrun has made many achievements, among which "1+2" is the most sensational.

1965, Chen Jingrun claimed to have proved "1+2", which was published the following year. However, due to the immature proof, it was not until 1973 that the perfect "1+2" was proved after many verifications. Once this result was reported, it immediately caused a sensation in the international mathematics community. His research results are called "Chen Theorem" by the international mathematics community, and have been written into the number theory books of Britain, America and Japan. Because of this achievement, he won the first prize of 1978 China Natural Science Award.

Chen Jingrun's high achievement in mathematics depends not only on his extraordinary talent in mathematics, but also on his tireless research in mathematics. Whenever Chen Jingrun begins to study mathematics, he forgets the time, and even works and studies for more than twelve hours. Chen Jingrun's selflessness in learning mathematics has greatly overdrawn his health. At that time, Chen Jingrun was obsessed with studying mathematics every day, ignoring many interpersonal relationships, so he was extremely clever. He was known as a genius mathematician in China and didn't get married until he was in his forties. After studying math day after day, Chen Jingrun's health finally failed and he was admitted to the hospital.

It was during this period when Chen Jingrun was ill that he met a woman who accompanied him all his life. This woman is Yu Kun. You Kun was a female military doctor at that time. During my hospitalization in Chen Jingrun, I was mainly responsible for the examination of Chen Jingrun's condition. Conscientious and responsible at work, patient and gentle, let this mathematical genius who rarely contacts with women move his heart. In getting along with each other day after day, Chen felt that Yukun was not only beautiful, but also gentle and generous, so he expressed his love to Yukun. Although Yu Kun was eighteen years younger than Chen, Chen's fame was already very loud at that time, and in contact with Chen, Yu Kun also felt distressed and loved for this mathematician who often worked around the clock.

After three years of getting along and falling in love, the two finally entered the marriage hall. Although Chen Jingrun was 47 years old at that time and the beautiful Youkun was only 29 years old, their marriage was blessed by many people and they were very happy after marriage. Soon, Chen Jingrun and You Kun had their own children. As the crystallization of love, Chen Jingrun and You Kun named their child Chen Youwei, and linked Chen's surname with You's surname, together with their own expectations for their children's future, so they got the name Chen Youwei.

Chen Jingrun got married at the age of 47. Later, although she had children, Chen Jingrun was obsessed with mathematics and didn't spend much time with her son. 1984, Chen Jingrun was knocked down by a bicycle on his way home. Originally, most cases of being knocked down by bicycles would not cause too much harm to people. However, when Chen Jingrun fell, his head touched the ground because of his unstable center of gravity, and Chen Jingrun was in poor health because he forgot to eat and sleep. Therefore, despite timely treatment, Chen Jingrun later got Parkinson's syndrome.

After Chen Jingrun fell ill, Yu Kun took care of him wholeheartedly and never gave up until Chen Jingrun finally died after being rescued. At that time, Chen Youwei was still young, and his father needed his mother's care every day in his hospital bed. At that time, he couldn't understand what others said was a mathematical genius, that is, his father who needed his mother to take care of him in his hospital bed, so he didn't study math that his father was crazy about, but studied music. Later, when he was admitted to a university to choose a major, he chose business instead of mathematics.

It was not until Chen Youwei went abroad for further study that he gave up his original subject and began to study mathematics. Chen Youwei, who was studying outside at that time, suddenly called his mother, indicating his desire to learn mathematics. In his mother's opinion, Chen Youwei doesn't like math, but he agreed to this wish.

After Chen Youwei transferred to mathematics, it was really hard the year before last. But through hard work, I finally graduated smoothly. In the study, although Chen Youwei couldn't understand mathematics at first, he couldn't understand Chen Jingrun in other people's eyes. However, with the growth of age and the broadening of his horizons, Chen Youwei gradually knew his father's greatness and legend. For the study of mathematics, Chen Youwei finally understood why his father was so fascinated by such a magical subject. After graduation, Chen Youwei learned more about mathematics and his father through his study of mathematics. However, Chen Youwei also has his own dreams to complete and his own path to choose, instead of always following his father, so Chen Youwei later chose to go to sea to do business.
