Correct understanding of mathematics

Mathematics plays a very important role in our whole academic process. It is not an independent subject, and other subjects such as physics and chemistry also intersect with mathematics. Therefore, mathematics is regarded as an important learning tool, not just a course.

What do you study in mathematics?

In the last article, I attributed mathematics to the logic course. To learn mathematics, we should not only memorize the knowledge points we have learned, but more importantly, we should use them. Mathematics examines the ability to apply what you have learned. Most children with learning problems don't realize the ability to apply what they have learned, so sometimes they have no choice.

Step by step learning

Mathematics learning is a step-by-step process, and each stage requires different abilities for children. According to my understanding of mathematics learning, it can be divided into the following processes:

1, primary school:

At this stage, from the first grade, children are gradually allowed to learn some basic mathematical knowledge, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and slowly combine some practical problems to examine their ability to apply what they have learned. This process is accompanied by the growth of the child's mind and expands bit by bit. In this process, children need to develop the habit and ability of concentration, and their logical thinking ability is also exercised simultaneously.

2, junior high school stage:

Compared with the primary school stage, in this stage, in addition to the unexpected expansion of knowledge, more mathematical terms appear. In fact, most of them are conceptual definitions of the learning content in the primary school stage, such as what is a linear equation of one variable and so on. This is a very important connecting process. It is very important to consolidate the thinking and logic of mathematics and lay a solid foundation for high school learning by summarizing and sublimating the learning content in primary school.

3, high school stage:

The learning methods at this stage are basically the same as those in junior high school. As mentioned above, the importance of junior high school learning has an impact on senior high school. At this stage, after learning all the knowledge to be learned in middle school, we should systematically review all the knowledge points in the whole mathematics learning process. This process is very tiring, but it will be very happy in the future. At this stage, children should learn to release the pressure of study and learn to rest;

4. University stage:

This stage involves advanced mathematics, linear algebra and probability theory. The learning methods and logical thinking used in this stage are basically the foundation laid in the middle school stage, and the open teaching mode and mathematics learning in universities are also conscious, especially for students who plan to take the postgraduate entrance examination. I got full marks in college mathematics because I know the importance of mathematics to me.

Good habit of learning mathematics

In the process of mathematics learning, we need to develop some good habits and avoid some bad habits. In my nearly 20 years of study, I feel that some good habits of learning mathematics are shared:

1, remember to set your eyes high and stay away from the calculator.

There is also a writing process between knowing and doing in mathematics learning. In some cases, we take a look at a knowledge point or topic and think that we can pass it directly, but if we do it carefully from beginning to end, the result may be incorrect. In addition, don't use a calculator, which is harmful to us. Oral arithmetic is also an important ability to master, because exams and time efficiency are also very demanding, especially mathematics, which requires us to use and allocate time reasonably. I have learned a profound lesson from this. The writing of mathematical problems is also a standardized process, and it is also a mastery of ability and makes it a habit. The rigor and standardization of mathematical logical thinking are very important to our mathematics study.

2. A good memory is better than a bad writing.

This sentence should be the most spoken by my high school math teacher. There are many knowledge points to remember in mathematics. Only by remembering them firmly can we apply what we have learned, otherwise it will be in vain. So don't be lazy if you can write a record. The combination of eyes, brain and hands is also very important. When I took the postgraduate entrance examination, I copied all the knowledge points of the whole mathematics curriculum outline.

Step 3 Prepare "Three Books"

Which three books? Exercise books, wrong problem books and precise problem books are all very important.

Exercise books are necessary. Every usual topic should be regarded as an exam, and the standardization of writing should also be paid attention to. Only by developing this habit at ordinary times will you not feel uncomfortable during the exam. In most cases, when doing exercises, we often use white paper or other white paper to simply calculate the results. In fact, this is a very bad habit and should be avoided.

The wrong question is based on the exercise book, combined with the mistakes made in each exam or the knowledge points that I didn't understand, to find out my own shortcomings, so as to do better.

Exquisite questions are very typical questions, which often cover a lot of mathematical knowledge we have learned and examine our comprehensive ability to use knowledge. We should sort out and summarize these problems in time, inculcate ourselves repeatedly, and strengthen our memory and logical thinking ability.

There is no need to infer from others.

I have seen many such words on the same topic. In my opinion, this is unnecessary. There may be multiple solutions to the same problem. Different people will think of different methods, and what we can think of is the best. I always think that the simplest method of solving problems in mathematics learning is not necessarily the best, but the method suitable for every child is the best.

Mathematics is also a part of the morning reading course.

Morning reading classes are often occupied by English, Chinese, history, geography and other back classes, and mathematics is often not shared. I think mathematics also needs to be a part of the morning reading course, because mathematics knowledge also needs us to remember and consolidate repeatedly, so as to know the root and do whatever we want. Therefore, it is necessary to "secretly" give math some time and let it read early.

Step by step, find what you need.

This sentence is what my teacher said when I took part in the postgraduate mathematics tutorial class, which benefited me a lot. I used to think that my math learning method was very good, but after listening to the teacher's first class for more than ten minutes, I planned to be a good student with peace of mind. The more you learn, the less you know. This is my experience at that time. Every topic leads us to solve the problem bit by bit, and we will dig out the knowledge we need from what we have learned.

7. Learn to "steal" and "ask questions without shame"

The learning process is a mutual process. You learn from others, and others learn from you. So, see how others learn, even secretly. Only by learning from each other's strengths can we become stronger and stronger.

When you encounter knowledge you don't understand in your study, you should ask your classmates in time, regardless of face. This is a normal thing. Don't feel inferior or superior. Learning is mutual, and it is not certain who will win in the future.

8, review the old and learn the new

The learning process of mathematics is very long. Colleagues who are learning new knowledge should review what they have learned before in time or irregularly, so that they will not feel tired or even anxious when they review together all the time.

9. Be your own teacher

In the study of mathematics, you should review the courses you want to learn in advance, be a good teacher first, study the courses well by yourself, find out your doubts in advance, and concentrate on your study when the teacher tells you, so that you won't feel very tired. My postgraduate math training class lasted four hours in the morning. I will make all the contents and topics I want to talk about well in advance, mark the topics that I am not particularly clear about, and then listen attentively, which will get twice the result with half the effort. Unlike most students, teachers talk above, they record below, and then go back to school to study by themselves, which often gets twice the result with half the effort.

10, learn to sum up and feel.

In mathematics learning, we should sum up our feelings in time, digest and absorb the knowledge we have learned into our own things, and then analyze and summarize the different knowledge we have learned more, just like the teacher giving us lessons. If you can explain it to yourself or others at will, it will be the ultimate. Summing up and feeling is not limited to the study of mathematics, so are other courses.
