Edward welling

Edward Willing (1736— 1798), a British mathematician, first proposed a method to approximate the imaginary root value. 1757 won the first place in the mathematics degree examination of Cambridge University and obtained a bachelor's degree. 1760 obtained a master's degree and was hired as Professor Lucas of Cambridge University before obtaining a doctorate. Hua Lin became Professor Lucas before he was 30 years old until his death, which lasted for 38 years. But his doctor's degree is a doctor of medicine (1770), and he used to practice medicine in hospitals in London, Cambridge and Huntington. Cauchy test was put forward in 1776.
