Why did you study math when you were a child?
At school, I like math and physics very much, which probably stems from my curiosity about the world.

I have always been fascinated by numbers, and I am curious about those indifferent formulas and natural phenomena. When I was in junior high school, I used to apply the pulley I learned in physics class to real life. I was fascinated by Pythagorean theorem in mathematics and thought it was amazing. I used to wonder why the volume of a cone is one third of that of a cylinder, until I proved it in my own way in high school. I am fascinated by unfathomable mathematical theories and unsolved mysteries, such as Goldbach conjecture, Riemann conjecture and Poincare conjecture.

Fascinated by the trajectory of celestial bodies, I asked the physics teacher such a question: the moon goes around the earth and the earth goes around the sun. So, how to draw a schematic diagram of the moon's trajectory? The teacher said that the question you asked was too profound. It didn't answer, and it didn't tell me who to consult.

I have had many questions and asked the teacher many times, and the most answered is: you don't need to know these things, you don't need to prove them, you just need to know what the predecessors have summarized, and you can use them.

However, I understand now that this is the education in China, and this is the disadvantage of exam-oriented education. I begin to understand why it is difficult for our country to produce decent scientists.

Because teachers don't understand students' curiosity about fascinating questions, their happiness and joy in solving problems, they don't know how much this curious attitude will affect students' lives. Even the problems solved by predecessors and proved by their own exploration will be deeply remembered, extrapolated and understood forever. Moreover, I have a great interest in this subject. Even a new continent will be discovered-if Einstein hadn't reconsidered classical mechanics, how could relativity be born?

Cultivating and guiding children's curiosity is the most important link in education.

I often think that if my parents can cultivate my curiosity and if my teacher can guide my curiosity, I think I will probably become a scientist.

Ha, let's talk about Chinese.

When I was at school, my Chinese grades were a mess. I am a person who can't express myself very well. I can't understand the meaning in those textbook articles and what the author said. I have always lacked the experience of that kind of life. Read the text, recite the text, recite it thoroughly, and can't understand its translation.

When I was a child, memorizing texts and ancient poems was just like memorizing English words. It is dry and tasteless.

And after I became an adult, things gradually changed.

Maybe I don't have the strong curiosity when I was young, or maybe I have more life experience. I gradually like Chinese.

I began to reopen articles and ancient poems from my school days. To my surprise, I found the treasure. The charm of literature made me want to stop for the first time.

In the process of rereading, I found that literature did not come into being out of thin air. It often comes from the author's feelings, accompanied by emotional catharsis and sustenance. I began to appreciate every sentence in the poem and understand the author's mood at that time. For the first time, I sat with the great soul in history.

At school, I disdained why the teacher always introduced who the author was, what he did and what experience he created before reading a text. Now I understand that without those experiences, this work could not have been born.

I used to think that the sentence "picking chrysanthemums under the east fence and seeing Nanshan leisurely" was easy to understand, but now I think this poem is extraordinary and rich. You can experience it: while stopping, skipping, leisurely picking chrysanthemums, whistling and unconsciously looking up, only to find that Nanshan appeared. Take a closer look at this unconscious (which means carefree). This is obviously how we played when we were young. We are so happy that we don't know the concept of time. How comfortable and extraordinary.

Li Shangyin, the author, is really incredible to be able to return to the pastoral home to achieve this state after he is tired of the intrigue of officialdom, which shows that he really yearns for nature, and this is really the life he wants. We know that many people yearn for freedom and a life without work, but if you are really given this opportunity, can you really enjoy freedom?

Another example is "People who don't know and don't care are not gentlemen". Literally: can't you be called a gentleman if others don't know you? Look at nothing, plain, in fact, this sentence is very useful. Look at people around you. How many people want others to know what they have done? They were angry and lost something. They always want to make friends, for fear that others will not know what they are doing. This is actually an inner agitation.

The phrase "people don't know and worry" is actually an explanation of loneliness and loneliness, and it is a state of mind when a person does things quietly. When you calm down and do things alone, there will always be that kind of impulse. I hope others will see you, understand you, share your interests, and get recognition for your efforts. The more you do this, the more likely you are to deviate from your true heart and reduce your concentration.

After reading this sentence, I understand that there is no need to let others know what you are doing and what kind of goals you are achieving. It's normal for people not to know you. You should stay calm and focused, take your time and accumulate patiently.

Falling in love with Chinese has made my life grow again.

It is an important turning point for me to change from being curious about the world to being addicted to the experience of life.

I gradually learned to absorb nutrition from great works. Feel the author's emotions and artistic conception personally.

This is really a wonderful thing.
