About children
In foreign countries, it is no longer the most important thing for children to study well, but more to pay attention to their sports and extracurricular activities. After all, children who exercise well are more popular at school, and climbing vines can get extra points. After returning home, I suddenly found that the children around me have become mathematical geniuses. They can work out all kinds of problems that even adults can't understand. Classical Chinese poetry is even more eloquent, and even kindergarten children can come to the last paragraph: "Confucius said: eloquent, fresh and benevolent."
School education model
Only when I arrived in the United States did I find that the way of education was completely different from that in China. There are no endless homework and exams. Even during class hours, teachers will take their children fishing and chasing butterflies, as well as various extracurricular activities and summer camps, which will make children coming to the United States unhappy. However, parents who are used to exam-oriented education in China can't figure it out. Can such education produce so many Nobel Prize winners?
About hot water
I think, when I was in China, I could take the thermos cup outside from home and never leave warm water and hot tea. Ginger syrup is women's favorite. Up to now, when I get to the restaurant, I have to have a glass of ice water first, and sometimes I have to ask the waiter to add more ice. A glass of ice water makes me feel very happy. In China, everything you give your children should be heated, and even if you get up in the middle of the night, you should insist on feeding hot milk. Now children are used to taking iced milk directly from the refrigerator.
In China, children are forbidden to eat cold drinks unless the weather is very hot, but when they go abroad, there are often desserts and ice cream, and even adults begin to taste them slowly and gradually like them.
Unconsciously, when I miss my hometown, China people suddenly find that what I miss so much is actually my hometown that I can never go back.
Too free.
When I arrived in America, I found that what I did and how I did it were my own business. No one will stare at you all day and let you do whatever you want. But this made some people in China who were used to obeying the leadership lose their direction instantly. Without leadership and command, how can they do this? !
Gift giving and AA system
In foreign countries, brothers are honest and open in accounting. But when I returned home, I found that I used to invite people to dinner without spending money. Occasionally take out your wallet and ask for AA, and you will definitely be run by your classmates and friends.
In foreign countries, you should pay attention to the packaging every time you give a gift. There are all kinds of exquisite gift card wrapping paper and ribbons. Although the contents are not worth a few dollars, they show your heart everywhere. Back in China, I suddenly found that many things have become impossible to send out. In China, gift giving pays attention to "local tyrants" without packaging, and I pretend to put them casually. As for packaging, it has become a trick for children to play house, but it gives people a feeling of "pretending", which is not true at all.
Autumn pants and umbrellas
When it comes to whitening, China women with yellow skin never tire of it. Whitening series in cosmetics continue to sell well in China market. Unlike westerners who specialize in tanning their skin, women in China have delicate skin, and the whiter they are, the more delicate they are. In China, as the saying goes, "One white covers all the ugliness", which shows how much "white" accounts for in the face value of women in China. Therefore, sunscreen and parasols have undoubtedly become a must-have item for women in China in summer. However, when I arrived in the United States, I unconsciously abandoned the umbrella on my head, and sunglasses became a new favorite.
And every autumn, when China shouts "I want to wear long pants", overseas Chinese sound like a fable. Americans usually live indoors or in cars, and rarely have the opportunity to walk on the road like China. Besides, air conditioners are turned on in winter and summer, so long-term autumn trousers have lost their place a long time ago. When I first arrived in America, I was very surprised to see that Americans could wear shorts inside and down jackets outside. Now, they have long been unable to adapt to the packaging of three layers inside and three layers outside. Like foreigners, they have to endure it outdoors. Learn to wear different clothes to work as much as possible every day, and become extremely sensitive to the smell of cooking fumes in China.
