job responsibility
Good morning, Tao Linchun.
1958 One autumn day, I bid farewell to Nankai Park and came to the beautiful and ancient campus (the former site of Beiyang University, now the east campus of Hebei University of Technology) by the Yun Bei River with the ideal of devoting myself to the education of the motherland. Forty-five years have passed, and looking back on the past years, I am filled with emotion. It is the season when peach blossoms bloom. Looking back on the unforgettable spring of 1982, I gave the first class to the first graduate students in our school and began to cultivate and sweat in the newly reclaimed graduate teaching garden. Since then, I have taught eight graduate courses to engineering graduate students and applied mathematics graduate students: measurement theory, stochastic process and mathematical statistics, mathematical physics methods, integral equations, real analysis, topology, mathematical statistics, functional analysis-it covers many fields of mathematics. Looking back on all this, I feel gratified and proud.
Hebei Polytechnic 198 1 enrolls five graduate students for the first time, and 1982 starts classes in the spring. I took a math course. When enrolling students for the first time, everything needs to be explored again. Mathematics is undoubtedly the most important compulsory basic course for graduate students. Its task should be to make graduate students master extensive mathematical knowledge and have considerable ability to solve practical problems by mathematical methods, so as to lay a solid mathematical foundation for future graduate work and mathematical work. For this reason, the syllabus is formulated and the planned teaching content is divided into two mathematics courses. The teaching methods of graduate students have been boldly tried and discussed, and "special reports on mathematics" have been held many times. This is an "open door" teaching method and an academic activity. Practice shows that this new teaching method is beneficial to the cultivation of various abilities of graduate students, and the effect is ideal. My article "An Experience Summary of Mathematics Teaching Methods for Engineering Postgraduates" was selected to be read at the opening ceremony of the first annual meeting of the Engineering Teaching Professional Committee of Tianjin Mathematical Society.
I have lived in a 9-square-meter hut at No.2 Beixin (B) Building in a secluded corner of the campus for 29 years, and everything here makes me miss it. There is a paddy field and vegetable field between the campus and the North Canal. In spring and summer, you can hear cuckoo calls. In the morning, I walked on the Peach Blossom Dike by the Yun Bei River and felt the breath of spring. The sun is rising, and spring is beautiful. Returning to the campus and entering the classroom, graduate students' faces are full of youthful vitality and eyes exploring knowledge. I seem to have entered a "Peach Blossom Garden", where I need to prune, water, cultivate and work hard. Yes, the spring breeze blows the earth, and it was early in Lin Chun, and people have been working hard for a long time.
Spring rain moistens the earth, full of green eyes. In Taoli Garden, many hard-working cultivators spread the rain and dew of love in students' hearts with persistent pursuit, selfless dedication and the style of "moistening things quietly". Excellent teaching, persuasive, caring and educating people first.
Good morning, Tao Linchun.
I would like to be a diligent gardener forever!
The cuckoo's voice is exciting.
The cuckoo called again.
It was the spring of 1978, and the science conference was held in Beijing. The scientific spring has come, and the warm spring breeze has blown all over China. It has been two years since the earthquake, but my family still lives in an earthquake shed, which is located in a quiet corner of the campus, near the North Canal. Every morning, the sky is as white as a fish's stomach. When I was sitting at the small round table preparing lessons and writing, I heard the sweet cry of "cuckoo, cuckoo" outside the window from time to time, which made me refreshed. It seems that I haven't heard the cuckoo for a long time. In my impression, the cuckoo's cry means hard work and diligence. When I was a child in my hometown in rural Guangdong, whenever I was busy transplanting rice in spring, I could hear the cuckoo singing in the field. Hard-working people are farming in the fields, and we primary school students are singing: cuckoos are singing, water is splashing in the fields, and we are all bent down to plant seedlings from morning till night.
Harmony is precious and harmony is prosperous. This year, everyone is trying to make up lessons, step up their studies, and get back the time lost in the "Cultural Revolution Decade". Some teachers in the department of chemical engineering spontaneously formed a lecture class and asked me to teach mathematical and physical methods. One day, while I was writing a speech, two editors of the publishing house (one of whom was Mr. Lin Ziyuan) came. They came to make an appointment. I promised to write a book about algebra. This is my first book, Algebra Outline and Exercises (with solutions to exercises), which was later published. I have to give lectures, prepare for the first 77 students who re-entered the school after the Cultural Revolution in May, and write a book. I am determined to work hard and publish this book as soon as possible.
Writing is difficult. In summer, the earthquake shed is extremely hot, but I know that without hard work, there will be no fruitful harvest. "Cuckoo, the water in the field is rustling from morning till night, and the seedlings are bent on their backs." My ears often echo the cuckoo's cry: "cuckoo, cuckoo", which urges and inspires me to write diligently. After a year's hard work, the 680,000-word Algebra Summary and Practice (with Question Answers) has been written. 1982 sells well all over the country after its publication, and it is reprinted once every six months. The internal evaluation book of publishing house won the second prize. Later, I completed several manuscripts and translations (Russia).
The campus in May is full of youth and new students enter school. I take the initiative to approach students, understand students, and pay attention to teaching students in accordance with their aptitude. Give lectures in the morning, help answer questions in the afternoon, prepare lessons or write in the evening. I am in poor health. I vomited on the platform twice in class. In September, there was a lot of bleeding in the affected area. After the doctor came to inject the hemostatic needle, I lay in the laboratory next to the classroom for two hours, and then the students carried me back to the earthquake shed with planking. I was in the hospital, had an operation, and was discharged one month later, and devoted myself to intense teaching.
I can't forget 1978. This is my 20th year as a teacher. It was this year that I sweated in the earthquake shed and wrote my first book, 680,000 words. This year, I worked hard, dyed the podium twice and stayed in the hospital. It was also in this year that my teaching career had a new starting point. In the next 20 years, I not only taught four undergraduate mathematics courses, but also taught eight graduate courses, such as measurement theory and integral equation, and worked silently in the garden of graduate teaching.
"Cuckoo, the water in the field is rustling from morning till night, and the seedlings are bent back." I will never forget this song that I often sang when I was a child, and I will never forget the cuckoo's cry by the Yun Bei River: "Cuckoo, Cuckoo", which calls people to cultivate and work hard!
The cuckoo's voice is inspiring!
Beautiful Melody —— Random thoughts on listening to Lu Huating's songs
One day, when I rode my bike home from Nankai University and passed Xigu, I heard a loud song coming from the garden. I can't help but stop and listen:
"Sunglow dyes the lake, and the reflection of snow-capped mountains reflects the blue sky. Oh, dear, in the dusk smoke, the soldiers came back with fish. Hey, fish is full of fish. Cattle and sheep are fat, melons and fruits are fresh, and safflower is like fire all over the grassland. "
This is the old song "Jiangnan is a frontier everywhere". Riding for dozens of miles is already very tired, but when I heard it, the fatigue suddenly eased and then disappeared completely. Then, after listening to it, I saw the frontier scenery of "the water in the canal is rolling, the red flag is floating green waves, the locomotive is flying smoke, the cotton is like the sea, and the grain is like a mountain". I was moved by this song. I took it home.
The next day, I rode my bike from Aoyuan to Xigu to find and listen to music. Sure enough, when I arrived at Simon, I heard the song "Hong Hushui, Waves". I walked towards the place where the song came from, with small bridges and flowing water, winding paths and reeds and green trees. A group of people are singing in the quaint wooden pavilion of the ecological wetland Luhua Pavilion. I sat on a small wooden bridge nearby and listened quietly. These well-known and familiar songs, such as Chairman Mao's Coming to Our Farm, Ode to Coral and My Motherland, float over the Luhua Pavilion with beautiful songs. Singers, accompanists and conductors are full of energy, enjoying themselves and totally immersed in the beautiful melody. In the chorus of "Frontier Traveling Everywhere in the South of the Yangtze River", some lesbians jumped up with cheerful and passionate songs, and bursts of applause broke out at the scene. The conductor told me that most of them are retired people who love music and like these old songs. They have been singing here for two years, entertaining themselves and having mass. There is also a choir singing in a pavilion in the south, and there are magnificent and beautiful songs such as "Crossing Chishui River from Si" and "Crossing Snow Mountain Grassland".
The charm of music and the beauty of life make these old people insist on singing here every day and enjoy it. I deeply feel that they are so persistent! Music has an effect. You see, they are full of energy, and their songs bring happiness to people. The loud singing on the Luhua Pavilion adds rich cultural characteristics and musical atmosphere to the scenic Xigu, making it more vibrant. More significantly, they are promoting elegant music, inheriting Chinese excellent culture and praising a harmonious and beautiful life.
I love music very much, and I have sung and become familiar with about 50 old songs sung by the choir. In the early 1950s, when I was in middle school in my hometown of Guangdong, I was a member of the school singing team. Sing songs on the playground grass in the morning, such as "The sky in the liberated areas makes the sky clear", "Unity is strength" and "Singing the motherland". When I was young, I liked singing and violin. Now the songs on the Luhua Pavilion are very attractive and infectious. I like to come here for a walk and listen to songs.
Singing and music can cultivate people's body and mind and purify people's hearts; Can enlighten wisdom, inspire people to forge ahead and pursue ideals and beauty; It can make people more passionate, imaginative and team-oriented. Let songs and beautiful melodies entertain the body and mind and cultivate sentiment. Celebrate a peaceful, harmonious and beautiful life and sing about our prosperous and great motherland!
