Therefore, paying attention to classroom teaching life has become the basic trend of education reform. Living in family and society, they get more and more information from social communication and mass media, which is actually a subtle but powerful educational resource. Whether the learners realize it or not, this kind of out-of-school education happens every day, and it will certainly affect all members of society more and more widely and deeply with the development of society. This is not only a severe challenge to traditional school education, but also a powerful driving force to promote school education reform. If we can consciously realize this important change in the social background of modern school education and consciously combine school education with social education, it will greatly improve the efficiency of school education and fundamentally change the closed state of traditional school education and social isolation.

2. The need for textbook reform

"Returning to life" is the basic idea of English curriculum reform. In order to change the present situation, better implement the spirit of English Curriculum Standards of the Ministry of Education, cultivate students' ability to use language in communication, realize the transformation from knowledge and skills to ability, and cultivate students' ability to creatively use the language they have learned to communicate with others in the new situation, we put forward the topic of "building a living English classroom".
