The Institute of Mathematics of Anhui University is a mathematical research institution approved by Anhui University in 1980s. Over the years, the Institute of Mathematics has made great contributions to scientific research, academic exchanges, disciplines and degree programs. Zhu Wei, a researcher at the Institute of Mathematics and Systems Science of China Academy of Sciences, is the honorary director of our institute. Professor Hu Shuhe, the current director, is a senior professor in our college and the first batch of doctoral supervisors.

Honorary Director: Researcher Zhu, member of American Society of Mathematical Statistics, and member of American Statistical Society. His research was supported by the National Foundation of China (supported by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars), the Hong Kong Research Funding Council, the China Academy of Sciences, the Max Planck Institute in Germany (an exchange project with the China Academy of Sciences) and the Humboldt Foundation in Germany.

Director: Professor Hu Shuhe, the first batch of doctoral supervisors of basic mathematics in Anhui University. Anhui trans-century academic and technical leaders training, executive director of Anhui Mathematical Society. At present, he is in charge of the National Natural Science Foundation Project 1, participated in and completed 7 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, published more than 60 academic papers, won the third prize of the State Education Commission for scientific and technological progress 1, and won 2 third prizes of provincial natural science. 1997 was awarded the title of provincial teacher's morality. From 1994, enjoy the subsidy of the State Council government.
