How to make Bobius belt?
The method of making Bobius belt is as follows:

1. Stick double-sided tape on the ends of three paper tapes; Connect the first paper tape end to end and cut it in the middle. A big paper ring becomes two independent small paper rings.

2. Rotate the second paper tape by180 and stick it end to end to get a Mobius tape. Then cut from the middle, it becomes a big paper ring, which is twice as big as the previous space. After the third paper tape rotates 360, it is bonded end to end and cut from the middle to form two nested paper rings.

Mobius belt was discovered by German mathematicians Mobius (1790 ~ 1868) and Johann Rhys Ding Yu (1858). It is a paper tape loop made by twisting a piece of paper 180 and then bonding the two ends together, which has magical properties.

Ordinary paper has two sides (i.e. hyperboloid), one front and one back, and the two sides can be painted with different colors; However, such a paper tape has only one surface (that is, a single curved surface), and insects can climb all over the curved surface without crossing its edge. This paper tape is called Mobius tape.

On May 20, 2022, a research team composed of Nagoya University in Japan published this achievement in the British Science Journal, claiming that the Mobius ring-shaped carbon molecule was synthesized for the first time in the world and named as Mobius carbon nanobelt.
