How to determine the formula size of mathtype input?
As a math teacher, MathType, a formula editor, is the most commonly used tool for editing test papers (or writing papers). At the same time, there is a problem that the font size is not uniform with the formula size.

Tools/raw materials

word2003

Mathematical type 6.0

MathType batch resizes formulas in Word documents.

1

Run MathType first, and click Define in the Size menu, as shown in figure 1.

Chinese version of "Size"-"Definition"

2

Open the "Define Size" dialog box, and we can adjust the font size of the input box after it is full (for example, the font size of word is small five, and the corresponding formula size will be adjusted to 9 pt). Other elements in the formula will be automatically adjusted accordingly, so no other changes can be made in general. Click the OK button to close the dialog box. In the open Define Font Size dialog box, enter the font size to be adjusted after completion, and click OK.

Then click the "Equation Preferences→Save to File" command in the "Preferences" menu, as shown in Figure 3, and save the options we set as a file with the suffix "eqp". Click Parameters-Formula Parameters-Save to File in the main interface menu to save the settings as a file. Eqp "format. (under the installation directory of MathType .. /mathtype/preferences/ file. eqp)

This is the saved format, which we will open in WORD later, which is the key file for resizing the formula.)

Then return to the Word environment and click Formula Format in the MathType menu.

(Many friends may encounter the situation that the mathtype option is not displayed in the menu bar. See the explanation later. )

Then, in the opened Formula Format dialog box, select the middle "MathType preference file" option, click the "Browse" button to find the saved text.eqp file, and double-click. Then select the "Whole Document" option in the "Scope" item below, click the "OK" button, wait a moment, and you can see that all formulas have been adjusted according to the specified font size.

The following figure shows the adjusted effect. Is it convenient?

How to make word2003 display mathtype options

After installing Mathtype6.0, the "Mathtype" menu and buttons on the toolbar did not appear in Word2003. If the Mathtype option cannot be found by the above method, the corresponding selection text.eqp file cannot be selected to adjust the size of the corresponding formula. The solution is as follows:

1, macro security settings

In Word2003, operate menu and tools-> macro-> Security, set the macro's security level to "High", or add Mathtype's development company to "Reliable Publishers".

Step 2 copy files

In the installation directory of MathType (C:\Program Files\MathType), copy the Mathtype commands 6 of Word.dot, wordcmds.dot and Mathpage.wll in the \office Support folder to the office1/startup folder under the office installation directory.

Step 3 add a macro

In Word2003, click the menu: tools->; Templates and add-ins, add these three files in the second step. At this point, Word will pop up a dialog box to prompt the macro and choose to run the macro.
