College of Earth Sciences and Land Resources
The College of Earth Sciences and Land Resources now has 3 offices (College Office, Student Office and Academic Affairs Office), 4 departments (Geology and Mineral Resources Department, Materials Science and Engineering Department, Land Science and Engineering Department and Tourism Management Department), 1 ministerial key laboratory (open laboratory of mineralization and its dynamics) and 3 teaching laboratories (basic laboratory of geology and mineral resources, materials laboratory and digital national laboratory). Five research institutions (Chang 'an University Regional Geological Survey and Research Institute, Orogenic Belt Mineralization Research Institute, Geological Structure Research Institute, Land Information and Engineering Center, Ordos Basin Oil and Gas Resources Research Center).

At present, the college has a team of teachers and researchers with reasonable age structure, high academic level and strong academic strength, including China Academy of Engineering 1 person, professors, researchers 16 people, and 40 associate professors, associate researchers and senior engineers. Its well-known scholars and academic leaders include Professor Tang Zhongli, Xue, Li Yong, Qian Zhuangzhi, Pei Xianzhi, Liu Jianchao, Qi and Yang Xingke. They have profound academic attainments in mineral deposit science, paleontology, geotectonics and other fields.

At present, there are doctoral degree awarding points in geological resources and geological engineering (first-class discipline) and structural geology, and nine master degree awarding points in mineralogy, petrology, mineral deposit science, structural geology, paleontology and stratigraphy, mineral survey and exploration, land resource management and geographic information system. Geology, resource exploration engineering, tourism management, inorganic nonmetallic materials, mineral processing engineering, industrial engineering, geographic information system, resource environment and urban and rural planning, land resource management. At present, there are 76 graduate students and 630 undergraduates/kloc-0.

The college has made fruitful achievements in the fields of mineral resources exploration, land resources investigation, inorganic non-metallic materials development, and geographic information system development and application. In the field of solid mineral exploration, the research direction of our institute is accumulated through long-term school practice and scientific research. Since 1960s, Professor Guo and Professor Jin Duicheng have been engaged in research and prospecting in Gejiu tin mine and Jinduicheng molybdenum mine in Yunnan. Since 1980s, the research in this field has been continuously strengthened in Xiaoqinling, Qinling, Qilian, Junggar, Tianshan and other areas, and the research content has been extended to basic-ultrabasic rocks. In recent years, under the leadership of Academician Tang Zhongli, on the basis of resource exploration and theoretical research of "Nickel Capital" in Jinchuan, China, the research scope of resource evaluation has covered the East Tianshan Mountains, Qin Qikun, North China Platform, Yangtze Platform, Southwest Sanjiang, Liaoji and other important metallogenic belts, and made important progress in international magmatic sulfide deposit comparison and resource evaluation research.

In recent ten years, the Institute has made many important achievements in the regional comprehensive evaluation of metal minerals in the main metallogenic belts in western China, and made many progress in the comprehensive evaluation of copper, gold, lead, zinc and cobalt resources in the eastern and western Kunlun Mountains, Tianshan Mountains and western Qinling Mountains. The newly discovered deposits include porphyry copper deposits, porphyry gold (copper) deposits and volcanic (altered) cobalt (gold) deposits. At the same time, many important progress has been made in the basic research of mafic, ultramafic rocks and granite mineralization in these areas. At present, the research in this direction is developing in depth, and many important scientific research projects are under way, including the "973" special research (research on the late Paleozoic mafic-ultramafic magmatism in southern Xinjiang).

Since the Ninth Five-Year Plan, the Institute has published 24 monographs and more than 350 papers in academic journals at home and abroad, of which 3 1 were included by SCI, EI and ISTP, and won the national first prize 1 item, the third prize 1 item and the provincial and ministerial second prize1item. At present, there are more than 30 research projects, including 3 national key projects, 2 fund projects, 4 geological survey projects of China Geological Survey and more than 20 other projects. The College will intensify the reform, speed up the pace of development, expand the field and scope of running a school in various forms such as joint running and Industry-University-Research integration, meet the great development of teaching and science and technology in the new century with a brand-new attitude and a higher concept of running a school, and cultivate more high-level professional and technical talents for the country.
