In March, 2003, the Mathematical Modeling Association of China University of Mining and Technology began to organize and plan the first Mathematical Modeling League in northern Jiangsu, but it was not successfully held that year due to SARS. Since the first Subei Mathematical Modeling League was successfully held from May/KLOC-0 to May 4, 2004, the Subei Mathematical Modeling Organizing Committee has been successfully held for five consecutive times, and its participation scope is constantly expanding. On May 1 day, 2007, the fourth North Jiangsu Mathematical Modeling Alliance was strongly supported by Jiangsu Industrial and Applied Mathematics Society and Xuzhou Science and Technology Association, and its scale was constantly expanding. In 2008, the 5th North Jiangsu Mathematical Modeling League was named "2008 China University of Mining and Technology News Cup" by China University of Mining and Technology Press. In 2009, the 6th North Jiangsu Mathematical Modeling League was strongly supported by Jiangsu Institute of Industrial and Applied Mathematics and China University of Mining and Technology, and was awarded the "Centennial Mining Cup". In addition to the active participation of China University of Mining and Technology and Xuzhou Normal University, it also attracted Wuhan University, Beijing Jiaotong University, beijing university of chemical technology, Beijing Normal University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Shanghai Tongji University, National University of Defense Technology, Southwest Jiaotong University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Sichuan Agricultural University, Shandong University of Science and Technology, PLA Information Engineering University, Nanchang University, Zhejiang Normal University and Zhejiang University of Technology.

Since 2004, the influence of North Jiangsu Mathematical Modeling League has been expanding. The number of teams participating in the 1st Subei Mathematical Modeling League is 120, the 2nd Subei Mathematical Modeling League is 204, the 3rd Subei Mathematical Modeling League is 307, the 4th Subei Mathematical Modeling League is 326 and the 5th Subei Mathematical Modeling League is 62 1. The number of online registration teams in the 6th North Jiangsu Mathematical Modeling League was 1 104, and 893 valid papers were handed in. The contestants come from more than 40 universities in four provinces and cities across the country.

The Mathematical Modeling Association of China University of Mining and Technology, as the organizer of the Mathematical Modeling League in North Jiangsu, was awarded as an excellent association in Jiangsu Province in 2004. And has been rated as one of the top ten associations at the school level for many times; On June 5438+February 65438+June, 2006, at the invitation of the Mathematical Modeling Association of Wuhan University, Ma Guoqing, the head of our association, represented our school in the "Second Central China Mathematical Modeling Forum" held in the Mathematical Hall of Wuhan University, and made a report on the successful experience of the Northern Jiangsu Mathematical Modeling League. On February 29th, 2006, 65438 was invited by the National Organizing Committee, and the person in charge of the Association was also invited to speak at the "Symposium on National Mathematical Modeling Competition for College Students" held by Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, introducing the experience of the Mathematical Modeling League in Northern Jiangsu, which was praised and recognized by the National Organizing Committee for Mathematical Modeling for College Students and the national representatives. On February 30th, 2006, two students from our school represented Jiangsu Province in the 5th anniversary celebration and awarding ceremony of "Higher Education Cup" National College Student Model Contest/KLOC-0 held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. In September, 2008, in the National Model Contest for College Students, our school selected 42 teams to participate, and won 3 national first prizes, 5 national second prizes and 0/2 provincial prizes. In February, 2009, in the international mathematical modeling competition for college students held in the United States, the team organized by our school won the highest awards: the special prize and the Logistics Society Award, becoming the only China team to win this honor. We have reason to believe that with everyone's attention and help, we will achieve more brilliant achievements.
