When I study, I always get good grades in math. Although it's been 10 years since I left school, I still remember a lot of my original knowledge. I got high marks when I took the linear algebra and probability theory again 6~7 years ago. But like most people, I don't think mathematics is very useful, especially those trigonometric functions, vectors, laws of large numbers and analytic geometry that I learned in high school. Besides examination questions, where can I usually use them?
After reading The Beauty of Mathematics, I was amazed at the vastness and simplicity of mathematics. It is vast because its branches cover all aspects of science and are the theoretical basis of all sciences. Very simple, no matter how complicated the problem is, the mathematical formulas finally summed up are as simple as only a few symbols and letters.
This book introduces the application of mathematical theory on the Internet. Usually, when we use the internet search or translation function, we often lament the computer's understanding of itself and its cleverness. In fact, the principle behind it is subtle algorithm and training of a large number of data. Those familiar or unfamiliar mathematical knowledge have gradually constructed the network world on which we live now.
