Setting of Total Score and Subject Fraction Line for Foshan Senior High School Entrance Examination in 2023

1. Examination subjects and time (1) The examination subjects included in the total admission score include: Chinese, Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, Morality and Rule of Law, History, Physical Education * * *, with a full score of 660 for culture, 60 for physical education and a total score of 720.

Chinese, mathematics, English, physics, chemistry, morality and rule of law, and history exams are written in a closed book, and the province's unified proposition and examination time are implemented, and the city's unified online marking and publishing results.

2. The examination duration of each cultural subject shall be implemented according to the unified arrangement of the whole province, including Chinese 120 minutes, mathematics 90 minutes and English 90 minutes (including English 20 minutes); Physics and history are 80 minutes each; Morality, the rule of law, and chemistry are 60 minutes each.

3. The full marks of Chinese, mathematics and English are 120 respectively (the scores of Chinese additional questions are included in the total score, but the scores of the whole paper shall not exceed 120, and the English subjects include 30 points in the listening test);

Physics, chemistry, morality and rule of law, history 100. Chinese, mathematics, English, physics and chemistry are included in the total score of the senior high school entrance examination according to the test scores; Morality, rule of law and history are converted into the total score of the senior high school entrance examination according to 50% of the test paper score (the test paper score is multiplied by 0.5 and then rounded to the whole number).

4. The physical education examination is organized and supervised by the Municipal Education Bureau, and implemented by all districts as required (see the Notice of Foshan Education Bureau on Doing a Good Job in the Physical Education Examination for Graduation from Junior High School in 2023).

Candidates who have been approved by the district to be exempted from sports must take the theoretical examination of basic sports knowledge organized by the whole city. The theoretical test score is converted into the total score of the senior high school entrance examination according to the full score of 60 (the test paper score is multiplied by 0.6 and then rounded to the whole number).

(2) The test scores of other subjects are reflected in the comprehensive quality performance evaluation. These include:

Geography and biology exams adopt the unified proposition of the whole province, and the exams are arranged according to the unified deployment of the Provincial Examinations Institute, and the results are presented in the form of scores; Music, fine arts, information technology and other subject examinations are organized and implemented by the city, and the results are presented by the results; Oral English, comprehensive practical activities and other subjects are uniformly organized by the District Education Bureau for examination or assessment. The scores of the above subjects are not included in the admission score.

The physical, chemical and biological experimental operation examinations are organized by the Municipal Education Bureau and implemented in all districts. The specific implementation plan will be notified separately. Test scores are presented in grades, which are divided into four grades: A, B, C and D. Among them, excellent is A, good is B, up to standard is C, and absent, failing or not taking the operation test is D. ..

(1) In 2023, ninth-grade students took the physical and chemical experiment operation examination (during the probation period), which was not linked to admission.

(2) In the next semester of Grade 8 in 2023, students will take the biological experiment operation examination (after the probation period expires), and the results will be taken as the basis for admission to the senior high school entrance examination in 2023. Candidates applying for 9 schools including Foshan No.1 Middle School (see Annex 2 for details) must reach Grade C or above, and other batches are not required for the time being.

Fourth, the comprehensive performance evaluation of junior high school graduates.

(1) The comprehensive performance evaluation of junior high school graduates is entered by the graduate school (or registration point) of the candidates, and each school comprehensively evaluates the students, objectively, comprehensively and truly describes their comprehensive quality and highlights their characteristics and development potential.

According to students' comprehensive performance, students are evaluated in four grades: A, B, C and D. When the performance evaluation is "D", the school should be cautious and report it to the competent education department for approval.
