Introduction: content and main points
This book belongs to the three-dimensional textbook "Advanced Mathematics". The main contents of this book are: the summary of this chapter, the classification and solutions of common problems, the answers and tips of typical exercises and self-test questions.
This book is consistent with the main textbook in chapter order, content narration, problem-solving methods and symbols. Its content provides rich materials and materials for the exercise class of this course, which greatly facilitates the preparation of lessons for teachers and the study of students.
This book can be used as a supporting teaching material for students majoring in engineering, finance and management in three-year or two-year higher vocational colleges, adult colleges and undergraduate colleges. In addition, it has high reference value for engineers and economic managers.

At present, China's higher vocational education has become a hot spot of social concern, facing huge development opportunities. At the same time, the country's economic, scientific and social development also puts forward higher requirements for the cultivation of talents in higher vocational education. However, with the in-depth development of higher vocational education in China, the intensity of reform has increased (for example, the academic system of higher vocational education has gradually changed from three years to two years), and the teaching content and hours have been or will be gradually compressed. In order to meet the needs of the development of this new situation and further promote the reform of teaching materials in higher vocational colleges across the country, Kaifeng University, Henan University, Luoyang University, Beijing Industrial Vocational and Technical College, Baotou Vocational and Technical College, Shijiazhuang Vocational and Technical College, Luohe Vocational and Technical College, Nanyang Institute of Technology, Shangqiu Vocational and Technical College, Sanmenxia Vocational and Technical College, Xuzhou Vocational and Technical College of Architecture, Tianjin Bohai Vocational and Technical College, Shijiazhuang Railway Vocational and Technical College, Yellow River Water Conservancy Vocational and Technical College, Jilin Communications Vocational and Technical College, Wuxi Vocational and Technical College, Excellent teachers and experts from Shaoyang Vocational and Technical College, Cangzhou Vocational and Technical College, Jiyuan Vocational and Technical College, Hebi Vocational and Technical College and Ya 'an Vocational and Technical College have jointly compiled and successfully published Advanced Mathematics and Engineering Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics and Economic Mathematics, and Fundamentals of Applied Mathematics (I) and (II) in recent two years. In 2005, in view of the new situation of current teaching reform, we carefully arranged and adapted two sets of new teaching materials-advanced mathematics and advanced applied mathematics, thus forming a complete set of college mathematics series teaching materials. This series of textbooks covers the teaching contents of three-year, two-year and five-year college mathematics in higher vocational colleges.
In order to make this series of textbooks by going up one flight of stairs, we have further improved this series of textbooks into three-dimensional textbooks. In addition to publishing the auxiliary textbook of each set of textbooks-exercise lesson guide, we also compiled and published the electronic lesson plans of this series of textbooks, and also established a special website to provide corresponding online services.
This book is a supporting teaching material for advanced mathematics, including: the summary of this chapter, the classification and solutions of common problems, the answers and tips of typical exercises, and self-test (optional exercises), among which the parts marked with * are optional.
This textbook aims at the common problems of students in higher vocational colleges, such as poor mathematical foundation, difficult courses to learn, difficult rules to find, difficult exercises to do and difficult to express. And from learning content, learning methods to problem solving, the chapters of the main textbook are arranged systematically and scientifically, with special emphasis on cultivating students' self-learning ability and the ability to solve practical problems by using mathematical knowledge. The content of this book provides rich materials and materials for the exercise class of the main textbook, which greatly facilitates the preparation of lessons for teachers and the study of students.
In order to facilitate reading, this book is consistent with the main textbook in terms of chapter order and content description, problem solving methods, symbols and signs, and each chapter is arranged as follows.
1. Summary of this chapter: First, summarize and refine the contents of this chapter, and make a list when necessary to help readers understand the general situation of this chapter, and then point out the key points and difficulties, so that readers can know fairly well and master the initiative of learning. In addition, in view of the problems that are easy for beginners, some suggestions and precautions are put forward to improve the learning effect.
2. Classification and solutions of common problems: classify the common problems in each chapter, summarize the common problem-solving methods and skills of each type of exercises, and demonstrate, analyze and summarize them through typical examples. Advocate the combination of multiple solutions to one problem and practical application.
3. Answers and hints of typical exercises: This book gives the answers, hints or detailed answers to the exercises and review questions in each chapter of the main book, in which the basic questions (about 1/3 of the total exercise questions) only give the answers, and the more difficult or improved questions give the hints or detailed answers.
4. Self-test (alternative exercises): Considering that different types of students and different majors have different requirements for exercises, some exercises are attached for students to choose or use as self-test questions. This part of the exercise only gives answers, not detailed answers.

In the process of writing this book, I have received strong support and help from relevant school leaders, department leaders and related experts. Teacher Du took an active part in compiling the contents of mathematical experiments with Mathematic software. Yan Yuhua and Wang Guosheng, professors and experts from Henan University, carefully read this book and put forward many valuable opinions. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks here!
Due to the limited level of writing, mistakes and inappropriateness are inevitable. Please criticize and correct me!
