First, the role of change
There are various ways and means of classroom teaching. Such as induction, deduction, synthesis, inspiration, indoctrination and spoon-feeding teaching. Task-based classroom teaching method has appeared recently. But no matter what method, there will be some difficulties in practical application.
I have been trying various classroom teaching methods for many years, but the results are not very good. But according to years of experience, I think the key to the problem is how to attract students' interest, which is not done well. As the saying goes, interest is the best teacher. If students are not interested in what you say, no matter how good your methods are, it will be in vain. I got a little inspiration from some entertainment programs recently. Why can those show hosts and singers mobilize tens of thousands of fans to dance in unison? I found that both the host and the singer captured the psychology of the audience, and the audience was very interested in them. Therefore, when they are listening or watching, they will devote themselves wholeheartedly and enjoy it.
So I think that if students want to follow the teacher's ideas, they should be interested in what we are talking about. In my opinion, our teacher should also be the host of the class, and try to make the content we want to explain more interesting, especially to carefully design the hosting method to mobilize students, so that students can actively participate in classroom activities under the teacher's scheduling.
In the past, we paid more attention to the explanation and training of knowledge, but neglected the cultivation of students' interest. From this perspective, in today's classroom teaching, as far as learning is concerned, students are the main body of the classroom, while as far as classroom operation is concerned, teachers should be the main body. Therefore, how to attract students' interest has become the most important thing in class. If you want to teach, introduce it first. If you don't lead it, you will lose it. It can be seen that the most important "technology" for teachers now is to cultivate "the art of attraction". According to my observation for many years, teachers with high attraction, like singers with good singing skills and attractive hosts, can "call the wind and call the rain" like a duck to water, and are also very popular with students. On the contrary, if "attraction" is not practiced well or at all, it can only be difficult to find rain without fire. His students also told him that he didn't respect. It can be seen how important it is to attract students and how imperative it is to change the role of teachers.
Second, the transformation of classroom operation
After the role change, our teachers must also change the operation form in the classroom. In the past, no matter what method the teacher used, the teacher was the main body of the classroom. After the task-based teaching is put forward, most people think that students should be the main body of the classroom. But in my opinion, teachers are still the main body of the classroom. Why do you say that? Because students are the main body of the classroom, it is only from the perspective of students' learning, not from the perspective of teaching and learning. There is no denying that the quality of students' learning in class has the most direct relationship with teachers. The performance of teachers in the classroom will directly lead to the quality of students' learning effect. Therefore, as far as the whole classroom is concerned, teachers are still the main body of the classroom. Just like an army, on the surface, without soldiers, it is impossible to fight, let alone win. However, if we really want to fight well and win the battle, we still have to rely on the commander. If the commander commands properly, he can win the battle. If the command is unfavorable, he will only run away.
In this case, how can teachers change classroom operations? This is really a very difficult thing. Especially in English class, it is not as simple as a sentence or two to realize this change. After long-term practice, I feel that it is difficult for teachers to make real changes in the use of the previous group, complex, new, tribute and cloth, or later tasks, and the changes in teaching forms are not great. Finally, the teachers unconsciously embarked on the old road. I am thinking, why not design the content to be explained into various program forms like the host, and treat the students as enthusiastic viewers or listeners. Teachers guide students to actively participate in the classroom. This way, the content and form are novel, and the relationship between teachers and students is easy to be harmonious. If teachers and students have a harmonious relationship and cooperate with each other tacitly, students' learning effect will be much better. In this way, teachers put down their airs, no longer condescending and inviolable, and the psychological burden on teachers and students is much less. Teachers will no longer worry about the boredom in the classroom and the uncooperative students. What teachers should worry about is how to practice the skills of hosting in order to better control the classroom.
Third, the change of classroom language.
Of course, if a teacher wants to be more like a host, in addition to changing the classroom operation mode, I think he should also change the teaching language. As we all know, the time for students to concentrate is limited. Why change the way of classroom operation? Isn't the purpose just to attract students' attention? A class effectively attracted students, and this class was definitely more than half successful. If we can't effectively attract students' attention, then our efforts in the whole class are likely to come to nothing. In the past, we had to painstakingly design the connection of each teaching link. Experienced teachers and thoughtful teachers may design well. But it is undeniable that sometimes it is difficult to design a certain link or several links smoothly. For example, listening, reading and grammar are not easy to connect smoothly, and such classes always make teachers very headache. In my opinion, we don't have to spend too much time on the design of circular connection. If it is smooth, we can connect it. If it is not smooth, we can use another method.
Our teacher can also remind students with a few slogans like the host. Like He Jiong, Li and Li Xiang, they often use some slogans to arouse the enthusiasm of the audience. It doesn't necessarily mean that the previous program brought the next program. But we don't think their program is very compact. Why can't our teacher adopt this method? The answer is yes.
However, what kind of slogan should we use? I think the slogan should be strong, rhythmic and simple. When learning new content, we don't stop students from shouting: I can learn, not a stupid bird. If you want students to write, you can shout: I can write, and nine times out of ten it's right. If you want students to do classroom exercises, you can shout: I can do it, it's always true. If you want to review what you have learned, you can shout: Remember, never forget. To compete, you can shout: teamwork, winner forever, and so on. This slogan has several advantages: first, it can make students feel the English environment; Second, it can enliven the classroom atmosphere; Third, it can stimulate students' fighting spirit. Fourth, shouting a few times in each class can refresh your mind and concentrate students' attention.
