1, indicating
Although the first-year students are not good at writing, they are willing to speak. Child psychology tells us that freshmen are eager to communicate with others, and the age of six or seven is also an important period for the development of language ability. Based on this understanding, the first math homework I assigned to first-year students was "Say". It is to tell parents about the math knowledge they learned today and the interesting things in math class. In this way, students not only consolidate new knowledge, but also provide them with opportunities to show themselves, improve their language expression ability, and also let parents better understand their learning situation and urge them to take the initiative to participate in mathematics learning.
Step 2 play
In order to let students know the close relationship between mathematics and life and the fun of learning, I designed some math homework as "games", so that students can play while learning, and sensory learning and games can coexist. For example, after the teaching of "Compare How Much", I set an assignment: fill four cups with the same amount of water, then put in 1, 2, 3 and 4 cubes of sugar respectively, and guess which glass of water is the sweetest. Through practice, students find that the cup with the most sugar is the sweetest. For another example, the homework of "Height to Height" is to go home and queue up with parents to see who is the shortest (ways to consolidate height to height and create opportunities for students to communicate with their parents). "Addition within 10" homework: Play a number game with mom and dad (review the addition within 10 to cultivate students' reaction ability and improve the speed of oral calculation). "Back and forth" homework: Please sit down and talk about your parents and yourself.
Step 3 use
One of the goals of mathematics teaching is to make students apply what they have learned, solve problems in daily life and let students experience the significance and value of mathematics. Therefore, in the assignment of senior one, the third assignment I gave students was "Use". For example, after learning Classification, I arranged for students to go home and tidy up the room and living room; After learning Statistics, I arranged for students to go home and count the number of desks and chairs, electrical appliances and so on.
In a word, for the first-year students, we should assign as little homework as possible, and more students are willing to do effective homework of speaking, playing and using.
