As we all know, Hua taught himself and set foot on Tsinghua campus. However, in Tsinghua University's mathematical circle, it is difficult to find detailed information about Hua. It should be said that Mr. Tang Peijing, Mr. Wang and Mr. Xiong Qinglai have all made efforts for China to come to Tsinghua, and the support of Xiong Qinglai, the head of the department, is the key measure.

After Hua came to Tsinghua University, he chose number theory as his research direction and focused on problems, which was obviously directly influenced by him. Hua Zai 1980 wrote to Wide Angle Mirror Weekly in Hong Kong, saying, "It was the professor who led me to the road of number theory."

Hua Yu 1936 went to England to learn analytic number theory from Hardy, and achieved remarkable results. Yang Wuzhi is glad that his students have surpassed him. 1938 Hua returned to China to teach in The National SouthWest Associated University. In spite of all kinds of objections in the school, the then dean proposed to make an exception and promote Hua to the school, that is, skip lecturers and associate professors and become full professors. At first, the school rejected Hua because he didn't get a doctorate in Britain, but after hard work, he was finally approved. Therefore, Hua also wrote in the above-mentioned letter to the wide-angle lens: "It was the professor who directly mentioned that I was a full professor after returning from England without a lecturer or associate professor."

During his stay in The National SouthWest Associated University, Hehua once lived in Datangzi Village in the northwest suburb of Kunming. The two families used to be closely related. At that time, Hua wrote a letter to me, which said: "The ancients said: Those who gave birth to me, those whose parents know me, are uncles and treasures. My uncle Bao is Yang Shiye. "

The Dixon School studied by Yang Wuzhi had a great influence in the United States at the beginning of this century. Later, due to the rise of analytic number theory in Britain, the Soviet Union and other countries, it gradually declined. Therefore, although Yang Wuzhi inspired and promoted the study of number theory, unfortunately, it failed to exert a significant influence due to the decline of Dixon School. Under the leadership of China, China School of Number Theory has made great progress. People will miss Yang Wuzhi's early pioneering role.

Yang Wuzhi and Yang Zhenning

Apart from the professor who teaches directly in the Department of Physics, Yang Wuzhi is a person who has a great influence on Yang Zhenning. Yang Wuzhi is one of the pioneers of modern mathematics in China who introduced western modern mathematics methods to China, and also a mathematician who made important contributions to digital education in China. Yang Wuzhi is a very serious professor and a very strict father. In daily life, he subtly taught children a lot of mathematics knowledge. At school, when Yang Zhenning encounters problems that he doesn't understand and things that are difficult to handle, he always goes to the office of the Department of Mathematics to ask his father for advice. Yang Zhenning later said: "Father has a great influence on our children. From my own point of view: I was influenced by him when I was a child, and I had a strong interest in mathematics in my early years, which had a decisive influence on my later work in physics. " Yang Wuzhi's influence on Yang Zhenning has occurred and existed for a long time.
