First, improve interest in learning
No matter what difficulties you encounter, you are willing to find ways to overcome them. The joy of overcoming difficulties will increase your interest in learning. In this virtuous circle, you will unconsciously fall in love with mathematics.
Everyone can sort out the wrong problem books of mathematics, pay more attention to their own failure experiences, and at the same time, they can sort out a successful book, record some problems that they can solve through hard work, and encourage themselves to gradually improve their interest in learning.
Second, lay a solid foundation in mathematics.
Most of the GMAT math problems are related to junior high school math in China, so it's not too difficult. But because it also involves some simple statistical concepts, I emphasize the application of mathematical concepts in daily life and do the questions in English.
Therefore, we must first make sure that we have fully mastered the basic knowledge points: solving equations, commonly used formulas, percentage transformation, and fractional multiplication. There are even: simplifying equations by fractions, converting decimals and percentages, converting fractions and decimals, calculating the area and perimeter of a circle, calculating polynomials, and some other basic mathematical knowledge in junior and senior high schools.
Third, practice is more important than theory.
Many candidates said that although the knowledge points and topics in the review materials have been clarified in the math preparation, it is still difficult to get high marks in the actual exam. Then why?
In fact, just because you understand it doesn't mean that you can really do it well. Math exam should still focus on practice. When reviewing mathematics, we should also do more exercises, especially do more model tests.
Fourth, consolidate the words before the exam.
For the problem that the professional vocabulary can't be understood in the math exam, it is suggested that candidates sum up all the new words and recite them together. If there is no way or time to dig out all the words in the topic, then you should know how to find an English translation through Chinese.
Fifth, repetition is better than new problems.
In the sprint stage of GMAT mathematics, candidates should not do new questions, but review the topics summarized before and exercise their understanding ability, otherwise they may have psychological anxiety and affect their test scores.
What we need to know is that the significance of doing problems lies not in reviewing mathematics knowledge, but in mastering the specific answering methods of these mathematics.
