The meeting reviewed the history and analyzed the present situation of mathematics competition, introduced the elective courses and activity courses offered by their respective schools, and discussed the law of discovering and cultivating talents in mathematics and science. Everyone agreed to build a platform together, so there was the "China Mathematical Olympic Cooperative", and the Chinese Mathematical Olympic Committee was the business guidance unit of this cooperative.

Principals have formulated many rules for this "club" and defined their work tasks:

During the selection of China National Training Team in March each year, each member school selects two students to form a training class, and the cooperative school determines five teachers to form a coaching group, which not only helps the work of the national coaching group, but also enables these teachers to strengthen exchanges and cooperation.

4. Hold a high school mathematics summer camp in the cooperative every summer, and publish or compile special lectures and simulated test questions provided by member schools for the use of cooperative member schools.

At the third meeting of principals of cooperative member schools held in Changsha in September, 2003, Fuzhou No.1 Middle School and high school attached to northeast normal university were admitted as new members, so far the number of cooperative member schools reached 18, involving 10 provinces.
