Chongqing Institute of Education is a public undergraduate school with the aim of "taking root in Chongqing's basic education and serving teachers' professional development", which is headed by Chongqing Municipal Education Commission. The school was founded in 1954 with a long history and distinctive school-running characteristics. It is the national college students' cultural quality education base, Chongqing teacher education innovation experimental zone, Chongqing key research base of humanities and social sciences, Chongqing urban and rural teacher education research center, Chongqing preschool education development center and Chongqing 20 1 1 collaborative innovation center. It is the main base for training primary and secondary school teachers and education management cadres in Chongqing. The school has two campuses, Nanshan and Xuefu Avenue, and now has two secondary teaching units, such as Teachers' Education College (Teachers' Teaching Development Center), Preschool Education College (Chongqing Preschool Education College), Continuing Education College, Mathematics and Information Engineering Department, Tourism and Service Management Department, etc. There are 19 undergraduate majors, involving 7 disciplines such as education, literature, science, engineering, economics, management and art.
