At present, the "Challenge Cup" National Extracurricular Academic and Scientific Research Works Competition for College Students has formed a school-level, provincial and national three-level competition. Students participating in the competition will first participate in the school and provincial works selection competition, and outstanding works will be submitted to the National Organizing Committee.
All China junior college students, undergraduates, master students and doctoral students (excluding on-the-job graduate students) officially registered in full-time non-adult education institutions of higher learning before July/KLOC-0 of the year in which the final is held can declare their entries.
Entries must be the results of students' extracurricular academic, scientific and social practice activities completed in July of the last year of the competition 1 two years ago, which can be divided into individual works and collective works. To declare a personal work, the applicant must undertake more than 60% of the research work of the declared work, and the signature on the work appraisal certificate, patent certificate and published related works should be the first author, and the collaborators must be students and no more than two people; For projects with more than three authors or projects with no more than three authors, but it is impossible to distinguish the first author, collective works must be declared. The authors of collective works must all be students. All collaborators' individual works or collective works shall be divided into junior college students, master students or doctoral students for review according to the author with the highest academic qualifications.
Graduation design and course design (thesis), academic papers and dissertations, winning works in international competitions, and winning national prizes (including winning works in other national competitions held by the organizers of this competition) are not within the scope of application.
The entries are divided into three categories: natural science academic papers, social investigation reports, philosophical and social science academic papers and scientific and technological inventions. The authors of natural science academic papers are limited to junior college students. Social investigation reports and academic papers of philosophy and social sciences are limited to six disciplines: philosophy, economy, society, law, education and management. The categories of scientific and technological invention and production are divided into two categories: A refers to works with high scientific and technological content and large production investment; Class B refers to small inventions, small productions, etc. Less investment brings convenience to production technology or social life.
Through continuous development, the entries have not only improved in science, advancement and creativity, but also gradually shifted from pure academic research to focusing on solving specific problems in production and life and paying attention to practical problems in economic and social development.
