Professional background
The undergraduate course in finance is not divided into arts and sciences, but the graduate students are different. Financial analysis needs mathematical background, financial engineering needs computers and mathematics, and the application of finance is general, but without professional background, the competitiveness will be much smaller.
Foreign language test
It is enough to have GRE and TOEFL scores in applied physics, but you need to take GMAT to financial economics, which is the professional foundation of economics and the language proficiency test. It is not so easy for you without professional background.
Degree background
"Bachelor of Science" and "Master of Economics" are not necessarily better than the "Bachelor of Economics" trained, because foreign countries pay more attention to undergraduate courses. Without a solid bachelor's degree as the backing, this master's degree is almost the same as that bought.
School performance
If you want to win an award in the United States, you have to take an exam of 3.5 (the average score is above 85) and take some related courses as soon as possible, so that you don't even write an incorrect reason when PS applies for changing majors.
professional field
Applied physics is a good major. You may not be able to do anything after graduation, but it will be different with a master's degree. Materials, X-rays, laser physics and technology, semiconductor physics and devices, functional materials, nano-materials, composite materials, material science progress, engineering materials, optical communication principles and technology, communication principles, physical optics, etc. are all "shortage majors" for immigrant employment.
