Is it feasible for members to suggest CET-4 and CET-6?
To tell you the truth, I think it's not feasible. I even think this proposal is stupid for the following three reasons.

First, CET-4 and CET-6 prove nothing and have no practical value. We can compare Band 4 and Band 6. English is one of the skills that college students must master. Whether communicating with people or consulting academic papers, English is very necessary. CET-4 shows that English has basic communication and reading skills, while CET-6 goes further. What about grades four and six? First of all, mathematics and physics are a basic subject. A person who is good at mathematical physics does not mean that he has attainments in derivative disciplines of mathematical physics, such as machinery and bioengineering. If a person has passed CET-4 and CET-6, it can only show that he has certain ability in this field. However, because mathematics and physics are not basic subjects, he still needs relevant inspections in his post. The practical value is very low.

What's more, in fact, some other certificates can also explain the relevant mathematical and physical abilities. For example, a certificate related to machinery can show that his mathematical and physical abilities are sufficient to deal with mechanical problems, and some engineer certificates in chemical engineering can also show that he has certain mathematical and chemical abilities. These certificates have explained the relevant capabilities. In fact, you don't have to have these four or six certificates of mathematics and physics.

Second, these certificates will increase the burden on students and study, which is actually very bad. You know, college students have to take many certificates, such as CET-4 and CET-6, certificates of related majors, as well as Putonghua, teacher qualification certificate, computer level 2 and so on. Not only the usual exam courses, but also certificates and some community activities occupy most of the time. If you add a math and physics band 4 or 6 at this time, it is actually unnecessary and the learning burden will be heavier.

For the school, every time the CET-4 and CET-6 are tested, the examination room has to be rearranged, and even many courses have to be washed away to make way for the CET-4 and CET-6. If there is one more CET-4 and CET-6, the arrangement of the school will change again, which will have a great impact on the school.

Thirdly, there is a problem in the formulation of the difficulty of math and physics test questions in CET-4 and CET-6. For example, apart from liberal arts students, different majors have different requirements for the exam itself. For example, economics needs to learn mathematics, but some parts don't need to learn, and mathematics majors need to be comprehensive. Different majors may include mathematics and physical chemistry, but the required level is different from the specific content studied. So how should we solve the problem then? If you take the exam, do you want to divide it into four levels of economics and six levels of economics? This is a problem.
